Instant food poisoning.

The starter of mystery meat was very undercooked and tasted very strange. We didn’t finish it and left it to the side, which the waitress didn’t think to question.

45 minutes after one main dish had arrived, still no sign of the other. The waitress makes up a story about my order going to the wrong table and asks me if I still want it… uhhh, yes. Obviously.

“Oh good, because I told the chef to make it quickly”. Very odd.

Due to the wait, she offered a free beer. Which I had to ask for because it never arrived.

Finally after a further 20 minutes the ramen arrived which, if served in Japan, would be punishable by firing squad. Simply the worst ramen I have ever eaten.

I decided not to dare eat any more of this ‘food’ and pay the bill. Whilst waiting, I watched the stray dogs on the street outside the restaurant. Perhaps their missing friends have found their way on to the menu at Osaka Castle…

Unfortunately, both me and my girlfriend were violently sick before the bill ever arrived. Hours later and we’re both still in a bad way. That food must have really been terrible for it to hit us so quickly.

This was also the most expensive meal we’ve had anywhere in the Philippines. That’s even after the (frankly insulting) 100 PHP discount. I’ll end up using more than 100 pesos worth of toilet paper after eating their infested slop.

Be warned, many reviews on Google are fake. We came here because Osaka Castle has so many good reviews, but every single person in the restaurant left without being able to finish their meals.

Avoid this place...

Customer Beware..

Roaches & Food Poisoning !!

I’m a foodie so I wrote down places in El Nido ahead of time that had good reviews (which this place does). We get sat down, our gyoza comes out, all good so far.. then our sushi. A roach pops up on our table, my partner blows it away. A server notices but doesn’t acknowledge and continues on like normal. We tried to let it go because the restaurant has an open deck maybe one accidentally got up there.. wrong. A second one shows up on our table then hides in the crack, we cover it up with something so it can’t come back out.. minutes later a baby roach, we loose sight, lift up our sushi roll & ANOTHER crawls out from underneath. At that point we are disgusted, we couldn’t finish our food. We let a waitress know what had happened, asked for the check and if they can remove the ramen that hadn’t come yet. She was very sympathetic, removed the ramen & said they would check the tables. This place definitely has an infestation. We left traumatized and feeling sick. I come to the reviews to see if anyone else dealt with this, I see one star reviews and lots of people mentioning food poisoning.. my heart dropped. We ate the food the other day & have been dealing with diarrhea since. Nothing debilitating but a lot of discomfort while trying to enjoy our vacation, we are lucky it wasn’t worse. I would avoid this place at all costs and hope they can get a handle on the roach problem which I’m assuming is causing food poisoning.. if it’s something else on top of that, that would be terrible....

I am taking away one star for the poor service. There were 5 of us who ordered an appetizer of Takoyaki and our main dishes. The Takoyaki was 10 pieces for 260 PHP which is a great price and had large octopus pieces inside and freshly made. This arrived right away. We also had Ramen and a Beef rice bowl and Sushi and Sashimi which arrived reasonably quickly. The rest of our order didn't come and 3 of us nearly finished our food then we asked the waiters why the rest of our order still wasn't ready. It seems they had forgotten the rest of our order. They made the Poke Bowl right away ( which you obviously don't need to cook) and we had to wait for the Sukiyaki. The staff apologized for their mistake but it was still pretty upsetting. The Ramen was very good and the broth was excellent. The Beef bowl was pretty decent. I think the Sashimi with 5 pieces of Salmon for 450 PHP was pricey for what it was. It did not come with anything other than some shaved carrots. So avoid ordering the Sashimi. Not worth it. The Poke Bowl was pretty underwhelming. Not enough sauce on it, lots of...
