You read “Hostel” and think of low cost accommodation and cheap food. I was surprised to find this place today by accident and must admit, it is a gem in the hiding. Directly on the beach side located, only accessible by a small “street”. But when you look at the inside you will find some space for your car. The team of the “Food Cartel “ is young, ambitious, attentive and very friendly group, everybody behind the counter, in the front service or in the kitchen is smiling😊. If you come here for food you can’t avoid the “Boodle Fight” a selection of meat and seafood dishes placed on a bed of rice and served on a banana leaf. Traditionally you eat local style with your hands, but you also get a set of cutlery. We went for the “Boddle E” and some skewers for appetizers. We have been 7 person, 5 adults and 2 kids, and we finish the Boddle “ Good for 10-12”😂😂😂. If you are a group of good eater go for the next size compare to group size and nobody is leaving the table starving. We were all “busog” and happy. A place you must try, you will not be disappointed 👍

Pro: The complimentary food was nice Water pressure good (though peak hours was barely enough) Have Toilet seat Have Bidet Functional shower 2.3k/day. 1 twin bed and 1 double deck with no beddings (understandable) which was used to place our things. Complimentary breakfast for 2 Had mirror Pretty quiet With drying rack outside Con: Clogged drain Toilet/room no window AC can be cool enough but may take some time compared to the usual ones. Not sure if due to the filter full of dust. Had mixed reaction/feeling from the main staff we dealt with. She's cool and friendly at times but there were times we felt she seems grouchy (e.g. When we asked to see the room/toilet first as we wanted to ensure they're clean and had no issues) which there were due to the clogged shower drain and dirty toilet (just the bottom inside part where the water rests).

Just checked the place because of their Google reviews. Truly the place is underrated as there were no customers when we arrived but I prefer some quiet place than the rest of the busking crowded restaus in La Union. The reviews I've read did not disappoint at all. All that we ordered taste amazing. Their Crispy Kare-Kare was a champ. We ordered mini boodle 6 as recommended by them. It was enough for all of us and their grilled meats were delicious as well and lastly we ordered mixed seafood in cajun sauce. It was fresh and yummy as well. Love their sauce. Overall we had great experience. Value for money and they also have a good customer service. This is something we can recommend to our friends and family.
