The Red Crab — Restaurant in Mabalacat

Brought my family here at my dad's request for his birthday. My husband is from Louisiana, and he was happy with my dad's choice. We came on a Saturday evening and were happy to be greeted and seated quickly. The restaurant wasn't too busy, but had a large party of foreigners and a couple of smaller parties of locals. We were attended to by the manager, which was a nice touch. We ordered a variety of items from the menu, including their famous crabs. Service wise, the food came out slow. We were told the crabs would take awhile, which was fine, but we waited awhile for the appetizers and drinks. We had to flag down a server to check on our food. When the food finally came out, we were very pleased with how tasty everything was. Everything was well seasoned, and the portions were sizeable. We were most impressed by the size of the crabs! Wow! My husband happily devoured a whole crab by himself. He really enjoyed it. Overall, the experience was a good one, the only thing is that when I received the bill, I did experience sticker shock. Our bill came to P17k, but I accept responsibility. I did not read the price of the crabs thoroughly, as I am not accustomed to ordering things by weight. Apparently the price was P500 per 100 grams. Each crab we ordered was a full kilo, so P5000 per crab, we ordered two. Yeah, steep. But everything else on the menu was reasonably priced, so overall, we were very pleased with our dinner. Atmosphere wise, the restaurant was a little dreary, felt a little hollow. It could use some lively touches, vibrant decor, maybe even some light music in the background. The next time I am at Clark, I would certainly consider...

Best kare-kare in the whole universe.

I revisited this place recently and I was excited again to try the best kare-kare in the whole universe. It didn't disappoint as it still tasted like the best kare-kare kn the whole universe. However, I would like to add another addition to one of their bestsellers which is the chicharon bulaklak. It tasted so clean and the seasoning was just right. You should also try their sisig as its flavor profile leans towards more to the authentic recipe which is not sweet. Their pinakbet is also great and is a must add to neutralize the meats you ordered.

If you have guests and need to bring them somewhere to dine, bring them here and you will not get disappointed. Food, staff, and ambience were all excellent. Disclaimer though, I could only vouch for this branch. I don't know the quality of their other branches.

Had dinner here after not visiting for over 10 years. Had a great meal, the ribeye was cooked to perfection with excellent presentation. Was very surprised to have been there on a Saturday evening at 7 Pm and were the only ones dining. Quite a shame as this is a great little restaurant that others would surely enjoy if they remembered...
