Amici is as classic and nostalgic as it has ever been. Entering the restaurant, you would be greeted by delivery drivers waiting to pick up orders. Thankful to Amici that they allow them to wait inside.
The tables are all clean and ready for guests and the greeter was eager to assist us even though we were going to do takeaway. He handed each of us menus and gave us ample time to review them.
The waitresses were attentative and approached me just as I was about to order--not to early, not too late. I ordered an item that wasn't on the menu so I had to ask about the price. The waitress was able to come back and give me price, number of servings, and a short description.
Obviously we had to wait a bit while our order was being prepared, so we had a look at their gelato station at Caramia. They had a good variety of flavors available.
Their bathroom was updated with a handwashing station. I don't remember if it had always been there but glad to see that it was. The bathrooms were equipped with toilet paper, bidet, and a sink with a hand dryer.

We ordered at around 11:40am and was told that waiting time is 15-20 mins only. However, we’ve been waiting for almost 1 hour and our food hasn’t been served yet aside from appetizers. At 12:33pm we made a follow up on our orders, only to find out that our food hasn’t been prepared yet.
We asked them to cancel our orders if it doesn’t arrive by 12:40pm and told them we are leaving. We just paid for what was served, which are the appetizers and drinks.
When I asked the store manager what happened with our orders, she said that most of their kitchen staff arrived late so they were short-staffed; which I doubt since it was our orders that were the only ones delayed while other tables/customers got their orders served already even before us.

Read moreaMIDci. I mean sure I appreciate that they have ties with Don Bosco and I can get behind that but I just can’t find the value here. The prices they’re charging isn’t justifiable if the menu items just aren’t good. I know I ain’t going back for none of that chicken sabaw anytime soon. Pasta costing 900+ for a huge platter and it still barely enough to feed 5 people. Pizza is good though not gone lie. I appreciate the free bread too. Shoutout Caramia for dope gelato tho, those are straight bussin.
I want this business to succeed as much as the next person does but I just can’t recommend it out of good faith. I’d reckon Italianni’s a better value for money. If they ever fix their stuff then hey I’d be the first to speak of it highly yet as of now there’s just better...
