I just want to express how DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED I am with your admin staff. My colleagues and I went there to inquire about a unit today, 15th of October, 2018. Mind you, we went there on our lunch break considering that that was the only free time we had to look around for a place to stay for the long term. Upon entering the lobby, the bellboy led us to an office on the underground level where we saw stacks of chairs and boxes that didn't look welcoming to any inquiring guest. The office looked a lot more like a store room or a bodega than anything else. Finally, we were attended to by what seems to be your admin staff who then told us that the only remaining unit was still under renovation. She then proceeded to ask us if we were students to which we said no. It may not look like it at the time but we're actually employees of a prestigious company who happened to be looking for a place to rent in the city because we wanted to live within a close proximity to work. She didn't need to know about that part but the next thing she did was not only unthinkable but also sadly represents your establishment as a whole. She took a call in the middle of our inquiry and spent what seemed like 10 minutes worth of chitchat rather than an important business call!! She event took her sweet time talking to God knows who at the parking lot and didn't even respond when she saw me calling out saying, "excuse me!" when we realized she was already taking too long on the phone. Finally, we decided to leave because our lunch break was about to end and we still had a meeting to attend the second we got back to work. She saw us leaving but did not even bother to apologize nor put the phone down even just for a short while to AT LEAST attend to us at the last minute and instead, just went on with her phone conversation that did not even sound urgent nor important at all!! I can't believe I just witnessed a SEVERE LACK OF PRESSIONALISM from your staff at Somerset. Her COMPLETE DISREGARD for anyone's time was unacceptable and I'm sad to say that it reflects on the hotel as a whole regardless of what excuse she may have.
On the other hand, what is up with the underground, bodega of an office you have??? Please tell me that's not where you actually lead your clients when they have an inquiry.
Overall, your admin staff was a DISGRACE who just lost 4 clients on behalf of the entire Somerset and we will not be encouraging anyone to stay at your place, all because of the EMBARRASSMENT that is that lady we just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYOU SHOULD NOT CHECK IN HERE. LET ME TELL YOU THE REASON. (Especially for companies who want to make a hotel accommodation for their foreign guests)
Guards are the very frontline of the hotel before they see the receptionists. It is important to train them how to be friendly and accommodating since they will be the first and last impression of the guests and visitors.
This is why in all hotels that I have checked in, I never met a rude guard. When I say all hotels, it means different kinds of hotels in several places in the Philippines. Including small and budget hotels in rural areas.
Unfortunately, Somerset Millennium Makati is NOT serious on making their guards polite and friendly. The WORST hotel guards ever.
I thought our company driver's experience was just an isolated case. Guards are very rude at him just because he is only a driver? I can't share his bad experience because it's his own experience and I think it should be him telling his own complaint.
Well here's how rude the guards are based on my experience:
At first the guards are not allowing me to be inside of their lobby because it's only for the guests. How possible can our foreign guests see me if I'm waiting outside? But I just ignored it because I don't want to get into trouble for the sake of our guests.
For several 3-star and 5-star hotels, I saw how the guards are helping their guests by carrying their luggage especially when bringing it into car or taxi.
I was surprised when our foreign guests haven't received any help from the guards and what's worse was that the guard was YELLING at me that I should be the one carrying their luggage. Like what the hell? I told him that he should be helping them and not me. The guard walked towards our car and asked me a question "Ano ka ba dito sir?" Then that started to trigger my anger and shouted at him that I almost forgot that I'm with our foreign guests.
Our company driver told that the guards are choosy when it comes to carrying or helping the incoming and outgoing guests. If the guest will give a tip then the guards will help but if none, then expect no help from them.
It was so disappointing that the Somerset Millennium Makati has RUDE, IMPOLITE and IRRESPONSIBLE guards.
The management should be rethinking on their security agency or if they are directly hired, then it's time to replace them with new ones.
Don't you ever wish to check in here if you don't want your day...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe stayed at Somerset Millennium Makati for 3 nights, and the experience was mostly great. The highlight was the spacious 1-bedroom apartment ā super clean, well-appointed, and perfect for a comfortable stay. Housekeeping was consistently excellent, and the quiet location added to the sense of calm. The staff were a real standout, especially at reception. Ed and Bong were lovely ā warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Their attitude made a real difference and set a positive tone for our stay. We only used the pool once ā it was a bit chilly, but very clean and well-maintained. Thereās also a small convenience store downstairs, which was a great touch for quick essentials. Breakfast, however, was a letdown. Based on previous reviews, I was expecting an Ć la carte menu and had my hopes set on egg benedict. Instead, the buffet offered limited food items, and what was available was often cold or nearly empty. We had to ask staff to replenish trays, which disrupted the experience. That said, the staff remained polite and attentive, and the food quality itself was good ā just not served at the right temperature or variety. If you're someone who enjoys watching TV during downtime, especially on rainy days, the entertainment setup might be frustrating. The unit was quite limited, and we had to call the technician multiple times ā either the remote wasnāt working or the system needed a reset. The tech staff were responsive and acted quickly, but the issue seemed to stem from outdated or faulty equipment, which dampened the experience. Dining options around the property are limited unless you walk to Greenbelt, which isnāt ideal for elderly guests or those expecting a smooth, easy stroll. That said, the Italian restaurant nearby was fantastic, and we also enjoyed the Sunday Market right next door ā a lively, local experience that added charm to our stay. Despite a few hiccups, the apartment itself offers amazing value in a peaceful area with attentive guest services. If you're prioritizing space, cleanliness, and warm hospitality, Somerset Millennium delivers ā just donāt set your hopes too high for breakfast or...
