Ordered online and received the bag without any tissue, utensils, hot sauce, and dip/ranch. I called the branch who took the order and learned that as of August last year, the tissue, hot sauce, and utensils were included “by request”. So I guess I should still be thankful that a paper bag was included to carry the food in. It would have been nice if I was informed during the branch’s call for order confirmation if I needed tissue, utensils, and hot sauce for my order (pizza, hot chix, pasta). Got none of that. I guess I was expected to be aware of that as a customer :|

Called the customer service and got a confirmation that the items are indeed given “by request”. So I asked them how it would be possible for me to know what to request for if I was not aware of this frustrating new policy. They couldn’t really answer that and offered their apologies. Received a call from the customer and got another apology. The thing is, these apologies can’t make up for how this incident ruined the entire day or compensate for the more or less 40-minute cost of the calls I needed to make to know more about this policy.

If the ranch/dip needed to be ordered separately, how come I couldn’t find it in the website so I can add it to my cart? How would customers request for things like tissue, utensils, and hot sauce (items that are readily included in most – if not all – food establishment takeouts) if we did not know we even had to ask for these things?

The little things matter and as ridiculous as this concern may sound for some, it could really ruin someone’s experience with Yellow Cab. Addressing this concern is not an additional or special...
