Laguna Cafe — Restaurant in Malay

Laguna is one of the restaurants within Fairways in Boracay. This was the first place we tried here. The menu was a mix of Asian and European fare. Service was a bit slow. They seemed to be really busy although it wasn't too full. I would guess that it was due to the large table that was there. It was fairly hard to get the attention of the waiters but we were able to eventually order. There were a few items that we were wanting to try, like the pork BBQ but they were out. They also ran out of coconut bowls for the coconut seafood. We ended up just getting a few things to share.It was all aright and nothing too exciting. The ambiance at night is very nice, quiet, relaxing and cozy. However, due to its "open", non-aircon setting, there are the occasional bugs and even a stray cat. The food is very good especially the chicken satay and pork belly. Some items were not available on the menu at the time (both food and drink). For me, it's overpriced for the serving sizes and drinks, but I think that's how it goes with restaurant hotels. For around 4 people who ordered 3 viands, a salad, fries, drinks, and 3 desserts..we spent about P4k+ in all, inclusive of service charge. The coffee is refillable, but only once. It must be a challenging year for many hotels and resorts. The Resort should handle the long queues in the early morning for breakfast during Xmas high peak season. Not making everyone queue for so long, the manager of f&b should double the line or prepare to sit for enough people to have breakfast without a long queue.
