We stayed at Sur Boracay last February. I am travelling with my husband and our 4-year-old son. This is the first time that we are staying in Station 1 as we always stay in Station 2. ||||Location - the location is perfect! It's right next to a lot of more expensive resorts, it's beachfront with a good number of beach beds. The entrance is right on the road, so it's the perfect location, very convenient. This is also right next to Two Seasons so if you want to try their famous pizza and sisig, it's very convenient.||||Rooms - well it really depends on where you will be assigned and the type of room you booked. On our day 1, our room is on the third floor. This is a bit of a challenge for us because we hate going up and down the stairs and we are travelling with a kid. The room has no balcony, but they provided a clothes rack where we can hang out wet clothes but it is indoor, it's okay but not very ideal. We tried our luck and asked if we can be transferred to a room at a lower level and guess what? They moved us to a room closest to the restaurant and on the ground floor, we can literally see the beach from our door. This is the best room and we even have a sitting area outside and a clothes rack. Room is on the simple side but the bed is great and the room is very functional. I love the laundry basket in every room.||||Food - Breakfast is simple but very filling and delicious. I love the coffee! We enjoyed happy hour (2pm-10pm?) and the inhouse resto is good as well. We tried mostly the Filipino food and they are very satisfying specially the binagoongan. ||||Customer Service - Top Notch! we love the staff from front desk to dining they are very accommodating and friendly.||||Price - possibly the cheapest within that area of station 1, but definitely best value! ||||We will definitely be back if we are in the mood for a more quiet and chill vacation. We go to Boracay usually 2-3 times every year so hopefully we will definitely stay here again.||||We loved our stay so much we find it hard to check out. On our last day while waiting for our airport pick up, we just decided to book another flight going home later that week and extend our stay at Sur Boracay for...
Read morewe are regular guests here from 2016 to 2018. but even we dont stay here anymore, this is our go to place for happy hour during sunset every time we are on the island. even thier staff always recognize us everytime we went back.
we we back again just this last May 16 and of course we were there again for the food and drinks. all went smooth but on the next night, when we went back again to eat and drink, there is 1 dish that made 3 of us sick (we are sure that this food is the reason since the three of us only ate that food).
me, my brother and his wife had a bad stomach the next day, and on that afternoon got chills and high fever. my wife contacted them for what happened on their page and told my wife what help they can give. my wife just told them that we will update them if we needed assistance if we are needed to be brought to the hospital. the next day, even with some lbm meds and fever meds, the situation become worst so we decided to go to the hospital. my wife started contacting them since they told us that they will help us but they only seen our messages. we just still went to the nearest hospital and ended up at MedExpress. we were treated as soon as were there. we are already dehydrated due to the food that we ate.
the next day, my mom and wife went here to ask for some updates and told them that the person in charge is still not around and told them that they will contact them as soon as he/she arrives. no one contacted the whole day.
the next morning, since i can already stand and go out, me and my wife went back to get some updates and again they told us that the person in charge is on rest day but left a message that we need to give them a medical certificate that indicates that their sisig is the cause of our sickness. how can a medical certificate indicate that the sisig is the cause of our sickness??????? how????
they cant even give us someone to talk to address our complain. no one even manager, the highest person that we can talk to right that time is the receptionist. 😀 and she even know what to do.
anyway, i hope no one in your family experience this, especially the guests...
Read moreWarning: Got SCAMMED by front desk After reading some comments I realized they do random blame some guest for stained towels from coconut...same as what happened to us. The exact reason its bizzare but its not random hut its more for 1300 pesos they get. Caution it may nit happen to all but those who get the blame randomly always remembers and post it in review to warn others who will get the "coconut stained" random towel. Pls read otjer review.
The hotel has very good location station 1 beach front. The room is outdated. Once we arrived upon check in sept. 25 we notice The locks in the bedroom and bathroom windows were broken so we asked them to fix it because The rooms were situated on the groundfloor convenietly near the back of the hotel. Gladly they fixed it. Upon check out today september 28 the front desk staff asked me to pay 1100 pesos for a beach towel according to her it came from our room yesterday housekeeping and there was stain on the beach towel which laundry treatment can not be cleaned. what I find it odd is that the beach towel we have donot have any stain because it was just used for the beach the hotel front desk said maybe it was coconut juice or oil spilled on the towel I told her we didnt use any. I find it odd that they blamed it on us for a stained beach towel. I would know if there was a stain and the weird thing is they mentioned it upon check out since we know we were rushing. ..I paid the beach towel because I dont want to argue and waste my time but for those who want to stay here please be careful with such modus tactic very third world style of hotel hospitality. Foreigners beware better stay away since if they know you have money or à tourist from other country they will check your room prior to check out which I find it very old school no other hotel we stayed did that its very old school what damage can we do to a room the property is already old. Mind you we gave staff tip for there service as a sign of gratitude but still we were treated poorly in the end.
Ergo, please go to other hotels. I WILL BOOK MY NEXT HOTEL IN BORACAY OTHER...
