Savoy cafe — Restaurant in Malay

This review is for Savoy Cafe. We had a very disappointing experience today as the food came in late (I will put it close to an hour)—they had prioritized a different group of real estate staff meeting it seems. When the food finally arrived, the Php990 vegetable Kare-Kare was a plateful with only a few pieces of vegetables and tofu. Only the senior supervisor Mayflor seemed to care before we left (waiters don’t seem to bother until we had followed up twice)—overall, the place did not live up to its high-end marketing (and I had even called earlier to inquire). I ordered the corn flake crusted chicken. Insanely good. Crunches so loud people around me thought there was an earthquake. There’s butter and maple syrup hiding in the mountainous shadows of the flakey crust that add a perfect balanced hint of sweet with savory. The chips that came with it weren’t listed on the menu, but were an amazingly pleasant surprise. They could use a little more salt, but they were perfectly cooked. Super thin. Super crisp. Perfect golden tan, like Kendall Jenner sunbathing in Tahiti.

The potato wedges were not good. Maybe a one-off situation, but I found them undercooked, under seasoned, and underwhelming. Still giving 5 stars because the main dish blew everything else out...

I left my retainers during breakfast and contacted them I'm the evening. It was confirmed that one of their staff found it so I requested that it would be delivered in our room when they get a hold of it. We were leaving the hotel but still no information about my missing retainer. I had it checked personally in the morning and that's when they started contacting the other staff. You have an information desk inside the cafe, isn't it the right place to leave valuable items that are lost or left in your resto? I am disappointed with this bad experience and I hope the hotel's staff would be more organize when handling...
