Blech! The fried chicken were way past their freshness bordering between barely palatable and spoiled. The other pieces were stale, dry and already rubbery - indicating they've just been reheated. No wonder their outlets in New Jersey are mostly empty even though we live in a city that is predominantly Korean. Our Korean friends never ate at this place.
So now, finding there's a crowd following here, we tried it out. And sorely disappointed. Why are there 5 star reviews of this chain? Can't they differentiate fresh ones from stale? Or are we just unlucky? But there were 5 of us and we all agreed on it.
You just wonder how such an international chain serves an almost spoiled chicken that is in the state of botulism. Or people just go here because the place looks more upscale than usual fast food places like McD's and the MSG ladened JBee? Or Korean pop culture has that influence?
Anyway. They gave junk food a whole new meaning. Because the chicken literally needs to be thrown to the disposal. If this is the US, a lawsuit...
