Honestly there are a lot of better local cafes in this bustling area (well at least this Sunday), but SB truly has its loyal patrons.
I would have gone to the other old style cafes near Manila Cathedral or San Agustin but had no choice since one from our group is a die hard SB fan and was collecting their points or whatever.
Anyway I ended up tasting 3 drinks - the coconut which for me was nondescript and tasted like cheap chocolate drink (my companion said the coffee was strong and I have no idea coz I hardly tasted it until near the end), the strawberry which was too sour like vinegar, and the one I liked was the malt frappe, similar to- you guessed it- choco malt candies. They are priced around php 200 each.
They have a toilet here, no need for code in the receipt, but some foreign guests really take way too long. Guess all the walking and touring got em worked up LOL.
Like other SBs, they don't have free wifi. In this aspect it is better to support small cafes which offer that service especially if you have some important things to do online and your data ran out on you.
Even their straws are cheap paper straws that ruin the taste. Some local cafes already use the sturdier starch straws, so I wonder what's keeping the more expensive SB from providing a better alternative to their customers.
But what I liked about this branch though is the atmosphere. It is not as overcrowded or as crazy noisy as compared to their other branches.
You can opt for airconditioned inside, or be seated outside, al fresco.
Also, the collection of paintings is tasteful. And this place has a sort of, I would not say downright creepy, but rather, vintage charm in it. Iykyk.
Tables are cleaned promptly.
The merchandise is in a shelf in the wall opposite from our couch.
Senior/ PWD discount card honored.
There is plant-based milk and lots of cakes, pastries, food selection.
Our car is in the big paid parking lot in Postigo street, near the Church. I am not sure if they allow parking right here since the roads here are a bit narrow with...

This Starbucks is beautifully nestled in the heart of Intramuros, surrounded by stunning colonial architecture. The cafĂ© itself blends well into the historic vibe of the area â a rare mix of heritage and modern coffee culture.
There are plenty of seating options, both indoors and out, and the relaxed atmosphere made it a great stop for a short break.
Beyond the standard drinks and snacks, this branch also offers a wide range of Starbucks merchandise, from mugs to tumblers and souvenirs.
I tried the dragonfruit shake, which unfortunately tasted quite artificial due to the syrup base. It was also on the pricier side. But to be fair, thatâs more of a Starbucks-wide issue than a location-specific one.
All in all, itâs a cool stop if youâre exploring Manila and want a comfortable spot to recharge â literally and...
Read moreI recently visited Starbucks Intramuros, and unfortunately, it did not meet the standards Iâve come to expect from the brand. One of the best parts of entering a Starbucks cafĂ© is the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee that fills the air. However, this particular branch lacked that familiar, comforting scent, which was disappointing.
The coffee itself seemed subpar compared to other Starbucks locations Iâve visited. It didnât have the same richness or freshness that I associate with the brand. It left me wondering if their brewing process or standards were different here.
In my opinion, this branch needs to step up its game to align with the global Starbucks reputation. The ambiance, coffee quality, and sensory experience should be consistent across all locations. Hopefully, they can address this issue and improve the...
