The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf — Restaurant in Manila

Visiting from Singapore 🇸🇬 to Manila, I was just exploring Malate area and found a very nice cozy place in coffee bean and tea leaf outlet just opp Roxas boulevard. The customer service is probably the best considering I have been to so many cafés. Ms. Janine who was manning the counter was a super woman handling everything from taking orders to processing orders which was impressive. I ordered cinnamon pastry and the service staff warmed it up in the oven and delivered the order. Her polite demeanour was commendable especially her attention so to details in providing the best service so the customer has no chance to complain. I strongly believe she should be the ambassador for customer service staff and train / share her work ethics to fellow staff so that more customers will surely flock to your cafés. The barista was busy when we got inside. I didn't hear any greeting from him. The supervisor came out, took our order, greeted us ungraciously. We ordered large mango iced-blended and large matcha iced-blended, gave us the receipt and the coaster without informing us where to pick it up. When the coaster buzzed, I saw the mango was in regular size, and I said we ordered both large and she just said, "yung the punched po is regular", didn't even offer to changed it. She upsell something to eat but we didn't get any food. The whole thing was very transactional. The whole service never felt the same like it used to. We got here 7/26/22...

Terrible experience at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. The employees were extremely rude and dismissive, making me feel like I was inconveniencing them by simply being there. The bathroom was a disaster—dirty and out of supplies and you have to ask keys to get entry. The coffee bar also looks unhygienic. To top it off, my iced latte was served barely cool with almost no ice. Isn’t the whole point of an iced latte to be, well, iced? This location clearly doesn’t care about quality or customer experience. Never...
