This is fine dining, East Coast vibe.
After decades of having easy access to some of the finest dining places in the NY-NJ area, the palate gets accustomed to its gastronomic & aesthetic ways. The first thing which greets the eyes is how absolutely pleasing Caviar's space is. The lighting is muted yet bright enough to see the beautiful touches of the bar, tables, chairs & the scrumptious booths at the far end.
My family & I were there to celebrate my brother's fiancee's birthday. We were a group of five. I imagine that because it was a weeknight, the place was quiet; there was only one other group (a couple) at the next table. The main entree of ribeye steak came out (med rare) and, folks, it was DIVINE. It was cooked perfectly, seasoned masterfully and the quality of the meat is equal to the best NYC has to offer.
The first thing we got to taste is their bread and butter. All I can say is this -- all breads are NOT created equal & the same is true for the butter. My mother & bro's fiancee flat out refused to take any caution in ruining their appetite. Can't blame them...even if it was steak on deck. Since my brother had eaten there before they knew the Escargot Bourguignon was phenomenal so we got it. How was it? Mygoodness-gracious-great-balls-of-fire delicious. Dip the bread in it to taste a bit heaven. I ordered the beet salad with goat cheese and, again, palate perfect to the last drop.
As to drinks, my mother was one very happy woman with her pinacolada (the only alcoholic thing she ever drinks!). I loved what I got but sadly, cannot remember what it is called (boo!). Finally, we for the fruit fondue. What a terrific way to end it -- perfection. The chocolate fondue is real cacao, not some overly sweet chocolate milk concoction.
Our servers were attentive, warm and simply lovely from beginning to end.
The most wonderful surprise here? The price structure is comparable to places in the higher end dining places BUT Caviar Restaurant and Champagne Bar is head & shoulders above them.
In short, this place is The Fine Dining...

the menu showcases an extensive array of european dishes, all thoughtfully elevated and exquisitely plated. we particularly appreciated the complimentary appetizer, fresh bread, and a palate cleanser.
the food quality is outstanding and consistent every visit. everything we ordered was flavorful, with clear attention to detail in both taste and presentation.
the staff also deserve a special mention! they’re kind, approachable, and always happy to assist, even offering to take nice pictures if you ask.
while it’s on the pricier side, with an average cost of ₱800–₱1,200 per person, the experience, food, and service more than justify the price. if you’re looking for a place to celebrate or treat yourself in alabang, Caviar should definitely be...
Read moreUpdate: We were quite disappointed with our recent visit, especially as regular customers. We relied on our server's recommendations, and when we couldn't decide due to not being very hungry after ordering oysters and appetizers, the server suggested their special fish menu. To our surprise, when we received the bill, the piece of fish was priced at PHP 6,500!
We expected that for such an expensive additional order, the server would have informed us of the cost, or at least the size and weight of the fish. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish the fish, and we felt uncomfortable taking home such a pricey dish as it was initially just an extra order for us.
After sharing our disappointment on their Instagram page and expressing our concerns, the only response we received was a simple "noted," with no apology or attempt to address the issue. This experience left us quite...
