We had a really bad experience at Romantic Baboy. We were a group of 7 people with 3 kids, and they made us sit at one small table, which was super cramped. On top of that, they only gave us one set of sauces and side dishes to share for 7 people! It didnât make any sense.
We asked if we could use the empty table next to us and even said weâre willing to pay for the extra child if needed. They finally said yes, but didnât bother to tell us the exhaust fan at that table wasnât working properly. We only found out after we were already settled and started cooking. When we brought it up, they told us thatâs actually why they didnât want us to use that table in the first place â which was really frustrating. Why not just say that earlier or offer us another table? The place wasnât even full yet.
We were also stuck with just one set of side dishes the whole time, which was really inconvenient. And they even forgot the lettuce, which is one of the most important parts of a K-BBQ meal. We had to keep following up just to get basic things.
What really didnât make sense was this: If we came in as two separate groups, they wouldâve given us separate tables and full side dishes. But because we came together, we were forced to share everything. Itâs such a flawed policy and made us feel like we were being punished for coming as a family.
To make things worse, some of the staff were rude and unapproachable, and this was just around 11 AM â barely the start of their shift! It was clear they didnât want to serve us from the beginning.

I just want to clarify a few things which isâif part ba ng policy nila na a person must pay upon entering their store kahit na the person didn't eat anything from the menu and was just dropping by to wait for her friends to finish.
I sat with my friends kasi nung time na yun, and never touched any of the food nor did I order anything from the menu.
Patapos na rin naman sila, and we did have a chat while they're at it, YET the store insisted I pay my slot for something na I didn't even have anything from.
It was embarassing for me and sa part ng friend ko who just got here sa PH from another country, kasi she had to pay for my slot, because I didn't have enough cash on hand.
We were forced to deal with the situationâthey didn't really consider the situation we're in, they we're sorry? If you truly are, you would have cleared this out for me at least through email or message when I reached out.
I even had to hand out my PWD ID para lang mabawasan yung financial burden on my friend's part. It is ridiculous, how the staff handled our case, unless they have a policy regarding it, I would really appreciate if they cleared it out for me, but they didn't despite my efforts to contact them through email and messenger.

   Read moreIt's our first time to try Romantic Baboy and the experience for this branch is not so great. This happened on March 10. The food is amazing and delicious so we will probably try again in different branch. The staff however, is what made our experience uncomfortable. Just one specific staff. When we arrived at the location, he/she made us fill-out the log book and scan ourselves for temperature check. That is fine with us. The approach however, is not so friendly. When we finally got ourselves seated, everything is already setup and there are meats already placed on the tablet. We asked for assistance to have those meat replaced since we would like to try the marinated ones. The "staff" approached us so I ask if we could get that specific meat we wanted. He/She said, "Maam ito na meat oh. Ayaw niyo ba? Parehas lang naman yan." Okay so, not so friendly approach fine. But when we insist to have the meat replaced, he/she did after clicking his/her tongue and glaring at us. We still left the store full and satisfied but disappointed on how we are being treated.
