It was a nice buffet but not exceptional considering the price of P3,267 per head for a Sunday lunch. However, the only reason we went there was the lobster, which to their credit, was really abundant. My father and I feasted on the lobster and other diners seemed to have done the same. Another big hit was the crispy pork belly and shoulder. The meat was very tender. No wonder people flocked to that area too. Dishes, however, were limited. The Japanese station only had some maki, nigiri, and salmon sashimi (this I love) and ramen. No tempura which was a letdown. My biggest mistake was not ordering from their menu which was part of the package. I was so focused on the lobster that I didn't give much thought on other food that I wanted to try. Anyway, drinks, including different kinds of beer and wine, were also included in the price. Dessert was good too though not extensive. We love the ice cream and cakes. The place itself was okay but i would have preferred a fancier setup. Anyway, I wasn't very happy with the customer service. A week before our reservation, I requested a simple card for our table to greet my parents on their birthday, just a way to make the celebration more personalized. But although they acknowledged my request, nothing happened. Given our experience, it's unlikely that we would be back again.

We took our breakfast here and the food selections were a bit high-end (for me I'd say). I'm a fan of buffet restaurants and I've been to some of it within the metro. But this particular one is so fancy that I don't recognize some of the foods anymore. Don't get me wrong, I actually love the place and the staffs were very accommodating. I'm just stating my opinion as an ordinary person, who doesn't have the luxury of eating on this type of resto all the time. I went here to try it and to somehow explore my options. The serving time for breakfast is from 7am-11am (not sure on the next available time they'll be open after that). It's an eat-all-you-can dining that costs P1,100+ per head. Again, if you're on a tight budget you would probably think about it twice. But if you just wanna feel the vibes from it, then make yourself feel at home and see it to yourself. Good thing about it was I able to explore more options in terms on food selections. I learned to know new foods and what it tastes like. I'll be honest that it's pricey.. that it could be because it's located at Solaire and you're paying the name as part of it (not sure lol). I still enjoyed the time we were there. Kudos to the staff for being friendly and always being around to assist us. 👌

Dined last August 20 2023 for dinner time. The buffet has a 530pm and 730pm seating schedule. We visited specifically for the Lobsters, which unfortunately was a disappointment. The atlantic lobsters were halved and cooked in huge batches, which ended up being overcooked. There was supposedly a butter garlic and plum sauce variants but both tasted muddled and bland. Contrary to previous reviews, you can only ask the lobsters to be grilled. The buffet featured around 7 cuisines but the offering of each station only has two to three standouts. Most of the flavors are average and forgettable. Considering that the Hotel has a Chinese restaurant, I expected more from the Chinese station but it was actually the weakest. Siomai offered was this sad looking brown lump. There was a blue crab dish that looked so sad and shrivelled and shouldnt have been served at all. There was a lack of coherence and thought in the selection of cooked dishes. Some of the meat in some braised dishes were cut too small making it appear like cafeteria fare. As for the positives, Fresh Buffet shines as a Tapas place with a wide selection of appetizers, coldcuts, cheeses which complements the complimentary local beers and wines. The pizza station also served good pizzas The dessert section is also a bright spot with smooth ice cream and great tasting cakes specifically the basque cheesecake and chocolate cake. Service was good considering the volume of people. In spite of the long lines in certain stations, they didn't run out of food. The ambiance was not too great as it is located in the middle of the casino with only 3 feet dividers. It felt similar to being inside a mall. I did not even notice if there was music playing due to the casino background sounds Fresh Buffet shines as a Tapas place but disappoints as a dining experience.

Inside Solaire Resort, Fresh Buffet serves all-you-can-eat lobster as their core attraction. The menu option was paltry without the lobster, compared to the other high-end hotel-based buffets in Manila. You can opt out of partaking in the all-you-can-eat lobster and pay less for the general buffet access. You also get a discount off the buffet price if you have a “Solaire Reward Card.” The buffet offer was okay in quality but did not meet the price range expectation. The Lobsters were either old or over-cooked. As someone who has consumed a goodly amount of these arthropods over a lifetime, I can tell these suckers were not fresh or boiled and re-boiled over time. Service was lacking, with managers in suits just standing there either chatting with each other or staring at their cell phones as the tables remained un-bused. The wait staff was friendly but did not have a proactive customer service attitude; whenever we needed the tabled bus, we had to seek one out or flag them down. Lastly, I would not recommend bringing children or people who have lung issues, as the buffet is located adjacent to the smoking casino area. The restaurant is filled with smoke, which degrades the whole dining experience. “People who do not smoke who are exposed to secondhand smoke, even for a short time, can suffer harmful health effects.” US CDC

Had dinner here yesterday, second time dining at Fresh. The first was spot on, this second one is meh. We immediately went to the seafood area and got some baked lobsters. It was served dry and cold. The steak was tender and flavorful, wasn't cooked to my preference each time even though I asked what doneness I preferred. The bartender on the beverage area was accomodating and made the drink I asked accurately, great. Sad thing is they might serve other people better if they won't benefit anything from you, seems like there was such a special treatment to the table beside us. Manager approached them and asking if they need anything and gave them special food items which didn't matter to us at first, but when they asked for the same baked lobster we had, they were given a freshly made one and all the steaks served to them were perfectly cooked, all of the special treatments you could imagine. All I heard was he was some sort of a content creator but I don't know them. Maybe if I'm a famous personality I would be treated better. 🤔 Waiters didn't even took empty plates on our table without us asking them multiple times, we were asked to leave after 8pm upon going in (we complied) yet comes 8pm and they let the table beside us stay even though we were on the same time slot. Felt like we were segregated.

I hesitated a bit initially knowing the price was steep compared to most buffet places in the Metro, but the food turned out to be amazing and the level of service exceeded my expectations. The staff members were all confident in engaging and addressing us and other diners, which felt like they were really trying to deliver an exceptional dining experience. I loved that they were acknowledging us and being consistently attentive. I’m genuinely commending our attendant for the night, Mark, and the assistant manager, Gab, who gave his courtesies introducing himself and offering his accessibility throughout the evening as host. The food selection was wide and all stood out with distinct taste profiles and textures. The lobster dishes are a must try. The Filipino food selection, desserts, and appetizer/salad choices were just as impressive. I think the only major drawback is that Fresh is beside the casino playing floor and the smell of cigarette smoke reeks, permeating through the dining area. That puts a heavy toll on the sense of smell and carries over to the taste of food. I felt the food would’ve tasted even better without the scent of cigarettes.
