Waterside | Solaire Resort Entertainment City — Restaurant in Parañaque

My family had dinner here before a concert at Solaire. We were warmly greeted before we were seated. Note that they have different seats for different groups. We were seated facing the glass windows close to the live band. We ordered the Croger (croissant burger) with brisket, Squid ink spaghetti, Fish and Chips, and Philly Cheesesteak.

The Croger was a pleasant surprise to us, initially thinking it would be greasy due to the buttery dough and meat we were surprised that it paired together well. The peppery brisket cut through the grease of it all but it could be toned down a bit in my preference.

The fish and chips were massive. It couls feed 2 people. Fish was fresh and not the common ones used. Chips were perfectly fried. The dip it came with was so good. I had to ask for a refill.

Squid Ink Spaghetti was good too, perfectly al dente. It's my first time to try squud ink with a red sauce and it paired well, I taste a hint of wine there somewhere which elevated this dish even more.

Philly Cheesesteak was quite the letdown for that evening. With all the great tasting dishes I had, I was underwhelmed with this one. First off the meat used was the same brisket in the croger but now with the different bread paired to it, it became too peppery and overpowered even the cheese. It was too spicy because of the pepper that I did not go back for a second bite. Steer clear from this one, would not recommend this.

Latin inspired restaurant inside the Solaire Resort & Casino in Manila. The ambience & service was superb in this stylish restaurant. On this particular night we ordered mainly from the tapas menu. The food was good but not great. The sisig taco sounded like a good locally inspired dish to try but it was far too oily & salty. The barbacoa & carnitas tacos were just ok. The pumpkin flan had a good texture but was too sweet & the pumpkin flavor was very subtle. A standout is the tuna tostada which had great texture & was very tasty. Also the ceviche & complimentary crusty bread with dip were yummy. I would say try it out if you are craving Latin flavors. There are way more entrees available besides what we ordered. I may try it again to see if the actual entrees are better...
