Buffet 101 — Restaurant in Pasay

August 12, 2023. T'was my girlfriend's birthday that night but there was no promo for exact birthdate unlike in vikings where the birthday celebrant gets his/her meal for free as long as accompanied by one full-paying adult. Despite the letdown about the birthday promo we still availed the regular weekend dinner rate for two because we wanted to dine in there so I genuinely asked the front desk if they could still give us a complimentary cake for my girlfriend and they agreed. But one hour had passed and we still haven't received a complimentary cake despite asking again from different staffs until I approached this one staff who assisted me with my request. We finally had our complimentary cake after an hour. Another bad experience we had was this certain thing they do which they said were 'free' where they dance in front of the birthday celebrant and letting them take photos with the Happy Birthday sign board they brought. They perform and do this thing per table where there is a birthday celebrant so I genuinely ask the previous staff who assisted us earlier if we could experience that, too. The staff immediately went to the performing staffs and ask if they could go to our table but they denied our request because they said they have already gotten passed our table and they have to circle around first to other celebrants' tables which were way farther than us. We're only two tables away from them yet they didn't grant our request. I asked the staff again and she relayed it to the performing staffs the second time but they did not bother listening to her as she was pointing on our table. We paid in full eventhough we are celebrating a birthday so we thought that they could spare us some time too for the birthday performance for my girlfriend to experience it but they let us down multiple times from the complimentary cake to the performance thing we never had. Was those things just for those birthday celebrants who dined in for free? It was my girlfriend's birthday, and we even paid for it. Aren't we customers, too? Is it because we were only a company of two persons and all those other celebrants had three or more companions where you can probably get large tips while performing? We could've given you tip, too if you had just granted our request. Yeah we probably had a good experience with food but not so good, but the service? Nah. I'll never dine in with Buffet 101 again. Disappointing Experience Despite Early Reservation: Our recent visit to [Restaurant Name] left us with mixed feelings, to say the least. We had planned to celebrate a special birthday and the return of a relative from Canada, eagerly anticipating a memorable gathering with our group of 10. Arriving two hours before the opening to secure an early reservation in person, we were hopeful for a seamless dining experience.

However, our hopes were quickly dashed upon arrival. Despite our efforts, we were seated at two separate tables, despite the restaurant being relatively empty at the time. we repeatedly requested to be seated together, emphasizing the significance of the occasion, but were met with excuses about all long tables being reserved.

To our dismay, a long table became available only towards the end of our meal, after we had already missed out on valuable time together. It was disheartening to discover that the diners occupying the long table hadn't made early reservations, as we had been led to believe.
