I was able to try Chef’s Recommendations at Paradise Dynasty and apparently, it’s a combination of greens and spicy dishes. And when I say spicy, SPICY talaga! 🔥So if you’re into spicy food, check this out.
Here are the dishes I tried: • Chilled Assorted Eggs Loaf in Yang Zhou Style P188 - It looks like a dessert but it’s actually salty
• Poached Sliced Fish in Szechuan Chili Oil P788 - #spicy 🔥 My mouth caught on fire and what I tried isn’t the spiciest. You may request for level of spicyness for this dish, by the way.
• Spicy Szechuan Crispy Chicken P298 - Flavorful bite-size goodness (or should I say, spicyness)
• Chilled Baby Spinach with Vermiceli P288 - Alternative to rice
• Ma Po Tofu P288 - If you want Szechuan cuisine but prefer a less spicy option, go for this.
• Lettuce Roll with Homemade Sesame Sauce P288 - served fresh and crunchy
• Steamed Glutinous Rice Stuffed in Red Dates P238 - It’s actually an appetizer but may serve as dessert. It’s not too sweet.
• Specialty Dynasty Xiao Long Bao (8 flavors) P388 - Of course, the dining experience won’t be complete without trying out Paradise Dynasty’s Xiao Long Bao.
Flavors include Signature Original XLB, Szechuan XLB, Garlic XLB, Cheese XLB, Ginseng XLB, Crab XLB, Foie Gras XLB, and Black XLB.
There’s a traditional way of eating the Specialty Dynasty XLB which you may find interesting. You can order each flavor at 6 and 10 pcs/set at varying prices.
I suggest do not to try all these at the same time ‘cause these are mostly spicy. A combination of Best Sellers and Chef’s Recommendations perhaps would balance the taste.

Read moreOur dinner experience at this restaurant left much to be desired. Despite being seated promptly, we quickly noticed that the staff seemed inattentive, particularly when it came to refilling our water glasses. It wasn't until we specifically asked that they bothered to address it, which was disappointing considering it's a basic expectation of any dining establishment.
As for the food, it was passable but hardly worth the price tag. The fried dishes, such as the chicken and pork ribs, lacked freshness and seemed to have been reheated, likely in a microwave. The egg fried rice, while promising, fell short with its excessive saltiness, making it nearly inedible.
However, what truly soured our experience was the behavior of the manager. Sporting a blue shirt and a black facemask, this older gentleman seemed more interested in staring down our table than ensuring a pleasant dining atmosphere. His constant glances felt intrusive and unwelcoming, giving off the impression that he wanted us out of the restaurant as soon as possible.
Adding to the disappointment was the lack of kid-friendliness and accommodation. It was clear that this establishment wasn't suitable for families, as evidenced by the dismissive attitude of the staff and the condescending stare of the manager.
In conclusion, while the restaurant may aspire to be a Chinese dining destination, it falls short on multiple fronts. From lackluster service to subpar food quality and an unwelcoming atmosphere, our experience left us with no desire to return. It's a shame, as with some improvements, it could have the potential to be a much more enjoyable dining...
Read moreThe eight flavors of Xiao Long Bao in Paradise Dynasty is an incredible experience. Located in Conrad Hotel at the SM Mall of Asia complex, the restaurant offers a great view of the Manila Bay.
.
You will be greeted by the staff upon entry and they are eager to explain the menu and how to eat the meals. What we liked best is the Xiao Long Bao especially the Black Truffle flavor (P388 for eight pieces of the eight flavors. Another favorite is the Spicy Szechuan Crispy Chicken because of its tasty combination of salt, spice, peanuts, and garlic (P298 serves 2-3). The Scrambled Egg White with Fish and Conpoy is also a favorite with the raw egg mixed in a creamy salty mixture of fish and conpoy making it so palatable (P328 serves 1-2).
.
If you love spicy food, the Poached Beef in Szechuan Chili Oil is perfect for your taste. It’s not the spicy that you think but the tasty noodle soup will slowly numb your mouth with the Szechuan spice in a pretty good way (P788 serves 1- 2 pax). The La Mien with Braised Pork Belly solves your noodle fix with its creamy soup and noodles (P330 serves 1-2 pax).
.
A good dessert to balance out the spicy and salty main courses is the Steamed Glutinous Rice Stuffed in Red Dates (P238 serves 2-3 pax). The Radish Pastry is amazingly tasty with the perfect combination of sweet bread and salty radish (P138 for three medium...
