I was able to book a table for two on Valentines day 2024. It cost me around 2800 per person for lunch.
Service was a little disappointing. We arrived half an hour before noon. As with any couple, we entered and saw this area to the left of the entrance. There were two chairs, decor and a sign for V day. Of course, my husband and I were keen to have our photo taken. The male host approached and we told him that we would like our photo their. He nodded and left. We were holding a cellphone and was politely trying to say if he could take our photo. We do have reservations . . .so I think he should have been more accomodating even if it was not yet 12noon and officialy open. We just did a selfie standing up with the sign behind us.
As for food, there weren't much choices. I have eaten at other buffets and they cost less but had more selections. At Brasserie on 3, the only drink included was the complementary Pomelo juice. They had no lechon or pork belly roll. I don't remember seeing any roasted chicken. I do love their roast beef. Their Salmon was very very good. There were only 3 flavors of ice cream that day.
After lunch, we wanted to use the rest room but was informed that it is located outside the restaurant. We decided to pay the bill before going out as they might think we had just run off. I was waiting for them to ask if we would want a photo in the chair next to the reception but there was no offer. Actually, even the other couples just left. Its a little wasteful to go to that trouble of decorating and not encourage the patrons to take a photo. It would have been a good marketing move.
I just don't know if their Valentines dinner was better. Perhaps it is more romantic in the evening.
I have eaten at Corniche and it offers a lot more selections in food and drinks. Even Vikings at MOA which is a blockbuster most of the time had a greater dessert selection. I'm hoping my review can help Brasserie improve. Its still a very clean and inviting place to celebrate Valentines day. The lack of crowds, was...
Read moreMy family had a terrible experience here.
My mom and dad went ahead to sit down under our reservation to celebrate something special. When my mom approached the first receptionist, it was mentioned that our reservation is right so she proceeded to the restroom first. However, upon coming back at the reception and encountering a different receptionist/ front of house staff, named Patricia, this time around, she said that we do not have a reservation. What made it disappointing on my mom's end was how they felt that they were being driven away, and the staff made a face. That itself is highly questionable. As part of the FOH team, there are standards in the industry with welcoming customers, and at the same time, rechecking with the reservation. I do not wish for the staff to be reprimanded in terms of disciplinary action, unless there has been repeated reviews, but more on a better training on their end.
While writing this, another incident occurred wherein a welcoming drink was spilled on my mom's back, which made the experience absolutely WORSE. On a good note, we'd like to express our gratitude to Alfred for accommodating us by changing our seats, and apologizing on their end. Given the various incidents that occurred, he responded and handled it well.
Personally speaking, the dining experience itself speaks for the overall experience of the customer throughout their dine-in stay. That is why the food and atmosphere, barring other factors, can be dampened based on the service.
On that regard, the front of house is critical in providing and DELIVERING the experience to the customers dining at the restaurant. Be it from following the management standards/ procedures, and how they respond to particular situations.
I acknowledge and understand that working in this industry isn't easy. Even the pay itself may not suffice, however, how we respond as a service member, matter in terms of delivering a good experience to the customers. I do hope this calls into the attention with how staff can be...
Read moreRecently, we had a company lunch at Brasserie in Conrad Hotel. Originally, we had intended to dine at Medley in Okada, but despite calling their customer service, they were unable to accommodate us. As a result, we decided to walk into Brasserie in Conrad.
Upon entering, we were immediately impressed by the ambience of the place. The restaurant boasts a beautiful glass wall that allows ample sunlight to flood the space, creating a pleasant and well-lit environment.
When it comes to the food, Brasserie offers an extensive selection of cuisines to cater to various tastes. We were delighted to find a diverse range of options, including Indian, Filipino, Korean, and much more. Personally, I found their grilled salmon to be absolutely outstanding. The fish was cooked to perfection, leaving it tender, flavorful, and truly immaculate.
But the true highlight of the meal for me was the dessert selection. Brasserie excels in providing an array of sweet treats, and I was thrilled with the numerous options available. Whether you have a preference for cakes, pastries, or other delectable creations, they have something to satisfy every sweet tooth.
Overall, despite our initial change in plans, Brasserie in Conrad Hotel proved to be a delightful alternative for our company lunch. The pleasant atmosphere, great variety of cuisines, and standout dishes like the grilled salmon made for a memorable dining experience. If you find yourself in the area, I highly recommend giving Brasserie a visit, especially if you have a penchant for...
