Red Lobster | S'maison — Restaurant in Pasay

This is quite possibly one of my most favoured seafood restaurants thus far. Although bistro group's restaurants have always gone above and beyond my expectations food wise. This place is really hit the mark.

The complimentary biscuits (really they're more like savory cupcakes) are exceptionally fluffy, and well seasoned and they really do set the initial expectation for the seafood. The blackened barramundi with the butter-cheese sauce pairs very well especially given the freshness of the fish. Dragon shrimp is actually really light (in spite of the breading) and the wild rice it's paired with has interesting colors and textures to contrast the tempura-like shrimp. I do wholeheartedly recommend the Kani-crab pizza because for the price you get so much more than you would at shakeys, pizza hut, or yellow cab. The dough is airy and never gives you a hard time as well as having a light buttery note to it. The bacon, Kani, and crab along with the mayo gives you a medley of salty and sweet to really titilate those taste buds. Finally, the ultimate seafood feast dish is a good sampler of some of the more expensive seafoods like lobster, snowcrab, shrimps alongside some more comforting finger foods to give it that southern [American] homey vibe as an offset.

All in all, pricey for most people like all bistro group restaurants, but the price is...

Hailing from America, this popular seafood chain serves fresh live lobsters and a variety of other American dishes. We ordered a live Maine Lobster, Mac & Cheese, Honey & Bleu Cheese Salad and Garlic Shrimp. The meal started with some Chedder Bay Biscuits which was quite nice and buttery. Next came the salad which had a balance of sweetness from the honey and nutty flavor from the cheese. A surprisingly good combination! The Garlic Shrimp however felt overly salty.

The waitress showed us the live Maine Lobster before dispatching it to the the grill. They would serve it table-side and help remove the flesh from the lobster. It was fresh and sweet. The melted butter was enough to bring out the best of the lobster flesh. To compliment the lobster, we had the Mac & Cheese that was loaded with a good amount of cheese!

The place is clean and neatly arranged. All the staff and even the manager were all friendly and welcoming. The kitchen is very fast in churning out orders. If you choose to order Live Lobster, you get to pick your Lobster from the tank. I got a lively one which kept trying to escape from the tray. The meat of the live lobster was more sweeter than the frozen one and more tender. We ordered from the Seafood Feast Combination section since it's what we came to Red Lobster for. A bit pricey but the serving was huge. We were sharing each other's order just to get a taste of the dish. The staff was so attentive and gave the place such a lively atmosphere. This is the place where your BFF Card will come in handy, you get a 20% discount on your entire bill. I think I'm sounding like a marketing associate.
