My partner and I went on a Wednesday night. I wasn't sure if it was a busy night or if they were short-staffed. Here's what we experienced:
Upon getting to the second floor, the first thing you'll see is a counter full of service people. There's a menu on the side. I guess I was just expecting anyone to greet us or hand us a menu (if they were really busy). We had to awkwardly stand there waiting for anyone to help us. It was uncomfortable.
After 20 minutes of waiting, my partner finally caught one of the staff's attention. We asked for a table for two. Here's the thing. He didn't lead us to our table, but he went to some other table and just pointed us there. There was a handkerchief just lying on the bench where I am supossed to sit; very unsanitary given that we're still cautious of COVID.
When were were seated, we were looking at our menu. We had to wait 30 minutes because raising your hand is not enough to get their attention. You have to go to the counter. We ordered the Thai soup (grill).
I needed to use their bathroom before we arrived there, but I had to wait for an hour because of what I have already stated above. When you enter their bathroom, it's very unsanitary. I was wearing a mask that time, but the smell of urine was too strong to stay out of my face mask.
The food was late. When we ate their food, it's more of a meh. It's not bad, but I regret spending a lot of money for that kind of quality. Food is too expensive for its taste.

🥢Tom Yum Soup - First time to try and I liked it! It is warm, flavorful, and gives you a surprise kick from the spice in every spoonful (pro tip, drink real slow so it wont make you cough😬) Only big concern here is how you have to drink the very hot soup in these plastic red bowls
🥢Pad Thai 💯🤌🏻 Need no other words for it
🥢Pork Ribs - meat is tender, slightly sour cubed mangoes tomatoes and cucumber pairs well with the sweet flavor of the meat in honey
🥢Shrimp Pancake - crunchy, soft, freshly made
🥢Chicken Satay - never tried satay before and even after eating it, quite unsure what i am tasting. Meat was cooked averagely, it is borderline dry and some parts are charred (so it is slightly bitter)
🥢Pork Kapao - i liked the flavor the basil added to the dish, slightly spicy, meat is like giniling so it is soft, okay dish overall, but nothing special
🥢Catfish Salad - crunchy catfish flakes surprisingly works well with the sour mango and it had a slightly sweet sauce, it is a pleasant dish full of flavor
🥢Fried Chicken - normal fried chicken, found it dry though
Taking away points for service because despite us being the only customers left, some of our order took quite some time...
Read moreSiam Thai brand need to change to Pinoy Thai No longer authentic Thai food. Instead of serving Thai fermented sausages, they serve Pinoy churizo. I ask the waiter what happened to serving the Thai sausage? He replied Sorry sir. Filipinos dont eat Thai sausages. So now, we only serve Filipino sausages. Then I asked what happened to the rice? Why the rice all melted and clumped together? Water replied Sorry sir, Filipino dont like Thai stlye of fluffy rice. They want one solid piece of rice. The Pandan Chicken? I didnt even want to ask anymore. Just ordinary chicken. No more Pandan flavour. And the music.... OMG Incredibly loud, sharp, ear-piercing settings doing great injustice to the BMB speakers, unless they are of course fake Pinoy versions too! And oh, no Thai music but Korean rap music, nothing to resemble any Thai atmosphere. Overall, this is CERTAINLY NOT A THAI RESTAURANT. To all you expats out there wanting to...
