Worst experience I’ve ever had here in the Philippines and possibly ever. I don’t know how it can possibly take more than 50 minutes for a scoop of rice and a can of beer. Let that sink in, a can a beer and a scoop of rice, and ultimately, they never even brought it out.
They did a last call at 9:30PM and so I ordered an extra scoop of plain rice and a San Miguel Light. By 9:45, we felt this was an unusually extended amount of time for 2 simple items so we followed up and they said it was still coming, but the waiter Elias proceeded to tell me that their beers came in cans which I was okay with but you could have told me 15 minutes ago and even more unusual that it takes this long to bring a can of beer.
By 10pm they still hadn’t brought it out so I cancelled the rice but not the beer. 15 more minutes came by and the 4th waiter, Mon, came to bring us 3 bottles of Smirnoff. Wrong order. That was the tipping point. I needed to flag down the supervisor to finally express my frustration. I never really complain with servers, and I wasn’t asking or expecting anything to be comp’d, but there’s no excuse for the 50min waiting time, with 3 waiters roaming around tables only to get the wrong drink at the end? I only wish there wasn’t a mandatory service charge because quite frankly, our waiters did not deserve it.
Please avoid the waiters Elias, Tina, and Charles for doing an amazing job of being too lazy to walk to a refrigerator and grabbing a...
Read moreGood views of the city skyline! Not 360 degrees, but still provides a nice atmosphere and backdrop to a night of drinking.
Their cocktails are moderately priced (P165) and quite strong and flavorful. Ordered the Ace Punch (very fruity), Black Russian (strong at the beginning, but tastes like instant coffee later on), Long Island Iced Tea (strong!), and Mojito (very minty).
For food, we had the Yaki Sausage (P260) and Jalapeño Cheese Sticks (P230) - both items I'd recommend in a heartbeat. The sausage was large and wrapped in crispy bacon and topped with bbq sauce; the cheese sticks were delicious when hot and tasted just like Tia Maria flatuas, just with a less crispy and puffy wrapper. A good price for tasty pulutan!
But beware! The best seats on the highest roofdeck level have consumable fees! The table we sat at was P500 consumable PER PERSON, when we thought it was 500 for the both of us. We ended up ordering a lot more food and drinks than we wanted, and had a hard time finishing everything. Luckily all the...
Read moreMy wife wanted to go to Sky High since we have not been out for a while. We ordered our food, but they delivered my food and my sons, saying "order complete". They had not made my wife's and thought we would not question it? The guy who delivered the food only knew how to say sorry and went away. We got a hold of the woman who took our order and all she could say was sorry and disappeared. Neither did anything to fix the problem. When I saw her again I ask for the manager and she just kept saying sorry and tried to get away. I had to go to the bar to ask for the manager, who also saying sorry finally got the kitchen staff to make her meal. The staff kept going to other tables asking if people needed anything but they avoided us completely. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional at every stage. On top of it all they insisted that the service charge not be removed. I do not recommend Sky High for anything other than the above...
