If you’re looking for a place where you can drink and enjoy great food at the same time, Tipsy Pig is the place for you.
We had our lunch here, and deciding to finally satisfy our hunger at Tipsy Pig after hours of holding off eating because of an event turned out to be a great choice.
What we ordered: • Dirty Nachos — Looks appetizing with its colorful nacho chips, generous cheese, and delicious beef toppings. • Seafood Platter — For ₱1,250, you get calamares, crispy shrimps, fish, oysters, and fries, all served with different sauces. • Boneless Crispy Pata — One of the best crispy patas in Manila! It could definitely give Livestock a good run for its money with its perfect crispiness and tender meat. • Sisig — So good we had to order another serving because everyone loved it. • Pork Belly — You’ll enjoy this if you like your belly or liempo done sweet and smoky.
The staff was great — they even helped us pull off a surprise for a friend celebrating her birthday. To celebrate, they cranked up Birthday Sex on the speakers, surprised us with a delicious lava cake topped with ice cream, greeted us with sparklers, and gave the celebrant a complimentary shot. They did all this while playfully singing and dancing — it definitely made the celebration extra fun and memorable.
Additional plus points: They also serve coffee if you want to wind down after all the food and drinks. It’s conveniently located near SM and Unimart, and they have a designated...
Read moreWent out for dinner and drinks here on a Thursday night, since usually Tipsy Pig gets pretty crowded on weekends. The interiors are cozy but tasteful, with a mezzanine overlooking the main dining area. Lighting is a bit dim and music is a bit loud, so it's not very ideal for much conversation.
For drinks, the two of us ordered a sangria and a long island (not on the menu, but if you ask the servers nicely!), the Pulling Me Crispy main, and a baby squid al olio side. The cocktails were tasty and packed quite a punch. The Pulling Me Crispy is a combination of lechon paksiw and lechon kawali -- paksiw is so-so; tastes like Mang Tomas, while the kawali was good but a bit too fatty. There are grilled carrots, long beans, and corn on the side, but are a bit limp and tasteless. Our server let us switch out the rice for french fries though, which was very appreciated! The baby squid was very good -- sauce is flavorful, and the squid was very tender. Wish we had some bread to mop up the sauce, but we finished everything nonetheless.
The whole meal cost us a little over P1,000 which is affordable compared to many other restaurants. Will be...
Read moreSecond time back and still always the same level of contentment for every new dish i try - so here are a few of my top recommendations:
Lechon Baka every bite tender and flavourful with each accompaniment complimenting the meat. Loved the vinegar and red onions on the side.
Sisig still a favourite as their sisig is not as salty and oily compared to how other restaurants would prepare it
Gambas generous serving and the sauce itself made me leave the serving plate dry 🤭
Quattro Formaggio Pizza yes to authentic italian flavors with the piza crust slim and just the right of crunchy!
I have tried both the BGC and Capitol Commons branches - preferring the latter as service was just at point. Anthony was our server that time and he definitely knows how to take care of his guests.
And oh, my review is mainly 4 stars only because I hope the ambience can be improved. Apart from that Will definitely be back to try the rest...
