Aberdeen Court — Restaurant in Quezon City

I do not know what is the difference between Aberdeen Court and Great Eastern Hotel, why there's two names.

But this looks well aged and charming as this is properly maintained.

Tasteful art and antiques.

Free wifi.

Polite and courteous staff.

Clean.

The toilet is not odorous and has soap and tissue, the hand dryer is old so the blow is not strong.

We like Cafe de Chine's php 480 buffet although it is not as extensive, it is okay as it is affordable and not crowded. There is a reasonable amount of viands but it would be great if there is ice cream and unli juice drinks (one round only). Add php 50 to make it bottomless.

Attended seminar here as well. Free flowing coffee. Cold function room, best to bring jackets or blazers.

Food is good though not excellent. Others' sandwiches are browned in the toaster while mine seems not, still white and soft. And the veggies in the chopsuey are not all fresh (may konti lanta). Lasagna tastes sour. Our seatmates just tasted it and it was...

Due to my recent experience, I want to update my review here. I've stayed here for two consecutive weeks due to a training. First week, I had issues with the cockroaches that even crawls on the bed and even on the tables. Second is sanitation. There was a mouse crossing back and forth where the managed buffet is being served. There were also cockroaches crawling over the training venue. Third, I had issues with the towels since the attendants claim to replaced my towels but it was never there to the point I had to call them several times for the towels. On my second week, relatively there were fewer cockroaches. The room is really cold. The requested food selection was granted. The staff are approachable and informative. They are attentive with the time table of an event. The foods are delicious and the place is good. Just don't leave the things you used for your event in the function room right after the party, as I noticed that the staff in different departments are a bit lacking in communication. We were unable to redeem couple of our stuffs that we left after the event for they assume nobody have it. We just didn't stop bothering the front desk for the extension cord. After a couple attempt, the front desk redeemed the extension cord in other department but we've lost the other stuffs for good. All in all, it was a good experience. I hope they also put bidet in...
