Newgrange Condotel — Hotel in Quezon City

Stayed for 4 nights with relatives in 2 bedroom suite.||||POSITIVES||||- Pleasant, courteous staff.||- Upscale decor in lobby, hallway.||- Elevator||- A/C worked well in both bedrooms.||- TV in each bedroom - worked well.||- Large floor fan in sitting area.||- Generally kept clean.||- Kitchen equipped with gas burners, large fridge, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, some utensils and dishes.||- Hot water worked well in shower.||- No bugs observed.||- WIFI Internet worked well for kitchen and sitting area, but not bedrooms.||- Electronic key card lock worked well.||- Appeared to have good security - all access must go through front desk area.||- Ladies salon onsite.||- Near to McDonalds||||||NEGATIVES||||- Somewhat noisy when traffic is busy, as the front of hallway floor is open to the street. .........(Bedroom traffic noise was not bad, except loud A/C units)||- Kitchen is not completely equipped. Had to ask for frying pan, knife. Not equipped with enough glasses, dishes, utensils. Staff were able to find items for us, including coat hangers for the bedroom.||- Seems that daily service is not included (?) I am not sure about this. After a couple days we asked for floors to be cleaned. This was done promptly, and we gave 100 p tip only.||I think this may have been done daily if we requested it.||- Small maintenance and upkeep is lacking. A missing lamp cover. Some damaged furniture and so on. Nothing too terrible, but could be kept up a bit better.||- In-room safe not working.||- Elevator is extremely small.||- Location did not seem to have any decent restaurants within walking distance. A bit sketchy at night. Tried a seafood restaurant nearby, but overpriced, tiny portions.||||Overall, for the price, a comfortable stay if you need a kitchen, or have family.||My...

Positives:

The room was spacious that the kids have enough space to run around. A/C in every room and the living room are all working perfectly. Your staycation becomes complete as you can cook your own meals. They have gas range, refrigerator, dishwashing essentials, cookingwares and dinnerwares ( plates, cups, forks) With hot/cold shower. Free parking. It's a first come, first served basis.

Negatives: in case you did not see spoons written above, well, there aren't any. But it's not a big deal for us since we brought our own plastic spoons. (I think you can request from the front desk as we requested a steam kettle) Our room smells weird when we first came in. It smells as if the room has not been used for quite some time. The room, although big and cozy, looks pretty old and has not been renovated for a long time (the ceiling has some parts dilapidated, markings on some portions of the wall, cracked tiles, etc.). I must say that newgrange is one of the most "friendly" hotels i've stayed in. First, friendly because the staffs were very approachable, kind and jolly. Wether you can see through their faces that they're already tired and really wanted to go home, once you pass by in front of them they will smile at you like their batteries were not drained from the whole day work. Second, its in the cost. Cost friendly hotel is one of the characteristics that the guests are looking for and newgrange has it. I am sure that you'll not regret paying a fully furnished unit for your whole stay. Lastly, friendly with the environment. Newgrange is located in an area where clubs, vehicles and busy people lived. The time that we stayed in the condotel, I really love the ambiance of the condotel. It is relaxing despite the loud noises outside the establishment.
