Grills & Sizzles Steakhouse — Restaurant in Quezon City

We went to Grills and Sizzles earlier this afternoon to hopefully have their ala carte lunch service. However, we were told that they were preparing for the buffet already, that's fine and it's understandable. But, the problem is that they did give us our place mats and helped to sit us, yet the attention of the staff are nowhere to be found as if we were a ghost. I get it, lunch buffet service was right around the corner, 5 minutes to the 12 PM, but still we were waiting for the staff to help walk us through how to order and if it was only for buffet service. And so because of that, we decided to leave as nobody came to assist us with ordering, and kept focusing and talking a lot with their workmates. What a lousy service this place has, no wonder it is always deserted, and maybe waiting 20 years later before I could try it would not be worth it anyways. And lastly, when we left, they did not even know a customer already decided to leave as again, they were paying too much attention with their peers instead of the customer looking to dine-in and have their meal. Dissappointing. We came Friday evening during the buffet and expected it to be busy but the place was empty except for 1 other table. We looked over the buffet (priced 989 php) which looked like it was sitting out for a long time. The variety of options were ok but for the price, left a lot to be desired. We decided to order ala carte instead since the buffet was quite expensive, especially for what it was. We ended up spending around 1200 php for 1 salad, 2 mains, and 1 beer. Originally ordered tacos and nachos as well but were told that they were out of the ingredients for tacos. They just never brought the Nachos out and after seeing our food when it arrived, decided not to request them. The portions were very small, especially for the price. The taste was ok but definitely not worth the price. See photos for size reference. The amount of meat could fit easily in the palm of your hand. The waiter was curt and unfriendly, not rude, but not hospitable. Overall, there are much better places to try...

Ordered the beef salpicao. The meat was chewy and not tender - as one would expect from a steakhouse. Sauce overpowered the taste and I couldn't savor the sliced up beef. Rice served was of poor quality, didn't even bother with it - maybe potatoes or mashed potatoes should be an option. Veggie sides were obviously from a frozen pack - chef/cook didn't even bother to use butter. Paid almost Php500 for this disappointment.

Was virtually alone when I visited. Staff were courteous enough however they didn't even bother to open the aircon where I was seated and I had to request for it. Was seated in the booth and when the aircon was opened, me and my food were greeted with an air blast of stinky stagnant air. And when another customer sat behind me, my seat lifted as the other customer sat on his side of the booth.
