The Roof Deck Bistro — Restaurant in Quezon City

I was in this place last night, 15th of October 2023 to have a drink with my friends. Very disappointed in the system of payment. I’ve paid the bill through my credit. Inask ako ng waitress for ID. Then took it to the counter with my credit card and ID. Took several minutes and then they ask me to go to the counter para ienter and pin then inask ko ung ID ko which is my driving license, which means all my details are there, e.g. full address, DOB which is can be used for online transactions together wit my credit card and security. For so many places na gumamit ako ng credit card ko, i had never been ask for ID. If in case, they just quickly look at it to verify the name. When i ask the lady to give me my ID for they have already had it for long. She told me to go back to my table and they will give it together with my credit card. This is very suspicious to me. So we leave, i told her that she doesn’t have the right to keep my ID for long when paying. For there are many scams going on. I don’t trust people especally in the ID they have all my information which they don’t have the right especially paying in a bar. Do they do this when people are already drunk paying? Very scary for some people who used credit card. I’ve asked for the manager but they said the manager is not around. I don’t trust this type of transaction. I advised that if you cannot bring your machine to the table, let the costumer to come the counter, if ID needs to showned, you shouldn’t keep it for long and immediately give it back to the customer once verification is done. It should take a few seconds only and shouldn’t be kept for many minutes. This makes your customers uncomfortable and scared that someone can use their credit card through online transaction. I’ve told the lady in the counter, that if there is unauthorized transaction in my credit card, this is the place that i will tell my bank to get investigated first. The place is located near times street in Quzon City, on top of the brick cladded building. The place is chill with acoustic music. Their food is good with reasonable price and big servings. Visited this place couple of times before and after pandemic. If you're looking for a chill bar with live music, this is a great spot.
