Gringo Chicken, Ribs & Friends - SM Fairview — Restaurant in Quezon City

Been eating in Gringo SM Fairview multiple times and the service never fails!

Last Wednesday, me and my co-teachers decided to eat out as our farewell get together. I recommended eating here as the food is so nice and tasty. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. Especially our server sir CJ and Axel.

These are the things why me and my co-teachers are happy with the service: They are pleasant and greet customers with smiles on their faces. They assist us, the moment we are ready to order. The food was served fast! Take note, this is lunch time and we are hungry that's why I am so satisfied. They refill the tissue box without us asking. They offered to be our camera man when they saw that we were taking our group photo. The FOOD is so GOOD! Bacon cream and Grinchos are my favorites!!! My co-teachers say that they like the back ribs and the chicken! One of my co-teachers wanted to take home the sauce because she likes it so bad 😂

We’ve been to Gringo many times, so we know what to expect when it comes to both flavor and portion sizes. Unfortunately, our recent visit to the SM Fairview branch was very disappointing.

We ordered two of the Epic Platters, something we’ve enjoyed at other branches before. But this time, the serving size was noticeably smaller than usual. The most surprising part was the pasta, it came in a portion so small that one person could easily finish it. Since we’re repeat customers, we could immediately tell the difference. It honestly felt like we didn’t get the value that the platter is supposed to offer.

On top of that, the service wasn’t great. The staff seemed inattentive, and some of our orders took a while to arrive even though the restaurant wasn’t full. The combination of reduced serving size and poor service really made the experience frustrating.

We usually go to Gringo for hearty, satisfying meals, but this branch failed to deliver. The SM Fairview location definitely needs improvement in both service and consistency, especially when it comes to making sure portions are as generous...

We know that waiting to eat, especially when sitting outside, can sometimes be a bit frustrating, right? It’s easy to feel impatient and just want our meals served immediately. However, let’s take a moment to remember that there are dedicated individuals working hard to ensure our dining experience is enjoyable. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the team at Gringo Fairview for their outstanding service.

A special shoutout to the chef who prepared our meals—please keep doing what you’re doing! The love and care you put into each dish truly shines through. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite and appreciate the effort that goes into making such delicious food. Thank you once again for a wonderful dining experience, and we can’t wait to return!
