Kimono Ken is a Japanese restaurant located at The Block, one of the premier shopping destinations in Metro Manila. The restaurant offers an extensive menu of Japanese cuisine, with a particular focus on sushi and sashimi. One of the standout dishes at Kimono Ken is their sushi platter, which features a variety of nigiri and maki rolls. The sushi is made fresh and is expertly prepared, with each piece bursting with flavor. The sashimi is also top-notch, with each piece sliced to perfection and served with a side of wasabi and soy sauce. Aside from their sushi and sashimi, Kimono Ken also offers a range of other Japanese dishes such as tempura, teriyaki, and yakitori. The tempura is light and crispy, and the teriyaki dishes are sweet and savory. The yakitori, or grilled skewers of chicken, are also a must-try, with each piece cooked to perfection and served with a flavorful dipping sauce. The restaurant itself is cozy and welcoming, with Japanese-inspired decor and soft lighting. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the service is prompt. Overall, Kimono Ken is a great choice for anyone looking for delicious Japanese cuisine in a comfortable and inviting setting. With its excellent sushi and sashimi, flavorful teriyaki and tempura dishes, and top-notch service, it's no wonder why this restaurant has become a favorite among foodies and casual diners alike.

We keep coming back to this place because of the yummy and affordable Japanese food!!!😊 During GCQ: They still serve consistently delicious Japanese food! Highly recommended 😊 Feb 2023: They transferred to the Food Hall at the 4th level, The Block. It's a bigger and brighter place than the old one. Apr 2023: Ordered thru Grabfood. The Shoyu Ramen was delicious 🤤 Jul 2023: Delicious food delivered as always! Feb 2024: I ordered thru Grabfood. It has the same food quality but prices are way higher compared to dine-in option. June 2024: We ordered Gyudon and Shoyu Ramen. Food did not disappoint and prices are very affordable. Mar 2025: Food quality is very consistent. Jul 2025: Every time my daughter and I visit SM City North Edsa, she insists that we eat at this restaurant. The food is freshly cooked and served quickly, and the prices are very reasonable. However, I've noticed that the California maki has become smaller than before, the shrimp tempura and Agedashi Tofu has also shrunk in size. Additionally, the pork slice in the Shoyu Ramen is often fatty and can be tough to chew. I hope they can maintain the quality of their dishes going forward. September 2025: This Japanese restaurant continues to hold the top spot on our list! Every visit feels like a delightful adventure for the taste buds.

While not a purist's vision of Japanese cuisine, this establishment offers delicious food. I often get their gyudon, distinguished by its savory mushrooms and rich umami notes. The sakura roll presents an amazing combination of salmon and the more decadent unagi. Their salmon sashimi is notably fresh and clean-tasting. The croquettes and chicken cheese rolls, while acceptable, are not exceptional. Still haven't found something similar to the cream-filled korokke reminiscent of those found in Japan. The service, however, is consistently commendable. The staff are both helpful and genuinely friendly. You can request togarashi and tempura crisps. Complimentary ice cream can be offered during one's birthday month. It is quite enjoyable with some togarashi.

I and my girlfriend dined at Kimono Ken for dinner last May 12th. The food was good and we generally liked the ambiance and interior of the restaurant. It would've been a great experienced for us overall if we didn't have an issue with requesting our bill. We finished eating our 9:15 PM and I asked for the bill. It wasn't a full house so we couldn't understand why it took them 15 minutes to give our bill. I had to ask THREE TIMES because we were already running late for the movie we were scheduled to watch. We ended up being 30 minutes late for the movie. What's a bit disappointing is I saw the servers noticed me raising my hand for quite a long time but they were pretending (?) not to see. I had to inform a server who passed by me directly during the third time of requesting the bill.

They weren't rude per se, but I felt like this could be a great room for improvement given the fact that despite I and my girlfriend were satisfied with the food, we got a bit upset about missing 30 minutes...
