PARMIGIANO Ristorante Pizzeria - Gateway Mall II — Restaurant in Quezon City

Food:

We ordered three things:

• Insalata Di Parmigiano (Thinly sliced parma ham wrapped in fresh mangoes on a bed of mixed greens with candied walnuts and grapes tossed with parmigiano dressing and shaved parmesan) I don't usually like fruits in my salad, but the fresh mangoes brought out the tastes of the greens. There was balsamic vinegar on the side, which I added and it made the salad more complex. There were so many parmesan shavings, too.

• Pappardelle Con Frutti Di Mare single serving on the picture (Pappardelle pasta with fresh prawns, mussels, clams, fish, squid, white wine and fresh chili in tomato sauce) The server recommended changing the pasta into spaghetti, which we declined that we regretted. Having large pasta meant less for you to share. The taste of the sauce was not acidic and the seafood was cooked to perfection. Be careful with the chili's!

• Capricciosa (Tomato based topped with artichoke, sausage, prosciutto cotto, boiled eggs, shitake mushroom and mozzarella cheese) I appreciate good brickoven pizza, and I must say this one was good. The crust was crispy and the overall pizza toppings worked quite nicely together.

Service: We were seated almost immediately to our table. We were also given our waters and free bread as soon as we sat down. Their manager was also keen to our needs and even had a conversation with us.

Atmosphere: The interior was nice. You can be seated family style and even as solo. The touch of frames of families or owners of the restaurant added the vibe of being a family style restaurant. This restaurant is not for those who want peace as it was placed near the atrium which...

Tonight, we dined to experience their renowned pasta and took advantage of the opening promotion. The culinary journey was delightful, with every dish - from pasta to pizza and drinks - being a hit. However, the standout disappointment was the service.

Regrettably, our pasta was mistakenly served to the neighboring table. Unaware of the error, we inquired with the server, pointing out that we had placed our order before them. To our dismay, the lady we approached confirmed the mix-up, yet we were surprised when they simply transferred the pasta to us after the other table had already begun enjoying it. (Taking so many pictures and angles for more than 10mins, laughed and talked over the food)

Despite their apology, I was hesitant to accept the dish due to hygiene concerns. Their suggestion to reheat the pasta instead of replacing it felt like an inadequate solution. Nonetheless, hungry and taken aback, we reluctantly accepted the dish, all the while contemplating the potential hygiene implications.

Furthermore, we were disappointed to not receive any complimentary bread and were not offered the opportunity to witness our pasta being prepared on the cheese wheel. Had it not been for the neighboring table receiving complimentary bread, we would have been unaware of its existence.

In hindsight, a preferable resolution would have been to allow the neighboring table to keep the pasta they had been served in error, while prioritizing our correct order.

Overall, the food earned a perfect score of 10/10, but the service fell short at 5/10. Dinner time:...

I can no longer remember the number of times I've been here. My go to restaurant when craving for Italian Dishes! Best part is, They have newly opened store here in CUBAO, Gateway.

For starter, we had the carpacio manzo, My favorite!

For pasta, we ordered Rigatoni funghi i like that they cooked it in cheesewheel. So unique. Dito lang ako nakakita ng pasta na niluluto sa parmigiano wheel. 🧀

For pizza, You can never go wrong with cheese. so I tried their 6 cheese pizza and for more cheese, we also ordered buratta pizza so goood! it is red sauce based with pepperoni and whole buratta cheese.

For mains, we tried their porchetta (it comes with risotto) and rib eye steak that you can pair with their wines.

For Desserts, we ordered, Cannoli and tiramisu and ofcourse, Coffee 😋

10/10 for me. very good food, Reasonable price, good service and so so so nice and clean ambiance.
