From the moment I walked into Ibis Styles Manila, I was warmly welcomed with an energy that set the tone for the rest of my stay. The service at the check-in counter was absolutely exceptional. I was assisted by a woman whose personality was so warm, vibrant, and genuinely kind, the type of presence that makes you feel at home even when you’re miles away from it. I’d love to mention her name because she truly deserves the recognition, but I’m not sure if she would be comfortable with that, so I’ll refrain, though I sincerely hope the management knows exactly who she is.
She was the same person who assisted me again during check-out, and throughout my entire stay, she helped with every single question I had, no matter how small. From directions to small requests, she handled everything with such care and attentiveness. Her level of professionalism, grace, and enthusiasm made such a positive impression on me. She didn’t just do her job, she made me feel welcomed, seen, and taken care of. That’s something rare. Her service was not just great, it was so. freaking. great.
Although I didn’t dine at the hotel restaurant, I did try the drinks at the hotel café, strEATs, located at Level 4. The coffee, milk chocolate, and Thai tea I bought during my stay were all delicious, perfectly prepared, with a good balance of taste and temperature. A nice little treat in between busy days.
The room itself was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged, everything I needed for a restful stay. The bed was cozy, the lighting was soft, and the design felt modern and calming. I also appreciated the little details, like the functional workspace and reliable air conditioning. The building overall was secure, easy to navigate, and had a clean, vibrant feel, stylish without being overwhelming. The atmosphere across the floors felt fresh and well-maintained.
As for housekeeping, I also want to give a special shout-out to Ali, who took care of my room during my stay. His attention to detail, respect for privacy, and friendly demeanor stood out every single day. My room was consistently tidy and refreshed just the way I liked it. There’s a certain comfort in knowing your space is being cared for by someone who takes pride in what they do, and Ali absolutely did. (Note: I received his permission to mention his name here.)
Overall, Ibis Styles Manila offers more than just a room, it offers a genuinely thoughtful experience, thanks to the incredible people who work there. The service here was the highlight of my entire stay. From the front desk to housekeeping, every interaction was positive, warm, and memorable.
Would I come back? Absolutely. And it’s not just because of the facilities, it’s because of the people who make the place...
Read moreRead before you book here: It was my first time staying in an Ibis styles hotel. I booked them to attend an event in Araneta coliseum. And to my surprise, the hotel was already connected to the coliseum itself when i arrived. I was very impressed with all the staff i met, from the cheerful door attendants, front desk personel during check in, and even in the elevator and hallways. Our room was comfortable, clean and modern. I was impressed by their go green effort to minimize plastic bottles and provided a modern filter machine for our clean water in the hallway. The accessibility to the mall was a great addition. Our first and second day of stay were uneventful. On the 3rd and last evening, we reached our room late. Our room was cleaned well but an item was missing. My black tsinelas (slippers) which i brought with me. I left it on the floor when we left the room in the morning. But it was not there when we returned to the room in the evening. I called the front desk and informed. And again personally went down and spoke with the front desk personel to follow up what was to be done. They started an investigation on the same evening. They even went inside our room to search themselves and even asked us to show our things also. We cooperated. All of this to find my missing tsinelas. As we decided to have our room cleaned that morning, I kept most of our personal items in our luggage and locked. Only my black tsinelas and toiletries were left outside. Thankfully i did that. On the day we checked out, i called the front desk to ask any update. I was informed the investigation was ongoing. Upon check out, I personaly met the hotel manager as well and she assured they will investigate. Up to this point, I believed it may have been an honest mistake and the tsinelas will be returned. The next day, i was informed they finished their investigation, checked the cctv, but the tsinelas was not found. I commend them for their efforts and swift action. To the staff who assisted, especially the managers, Mr Kevin and Ms Izza, and the security personel who checked thoroughly in and out of our room - Thank you po for your tireless effort. To the room cleaners - Kimbert (day 1) and Jovie(day 2) thank you pa rin po because the room wa cleaned naman. My experience would have been great except for this one incident, the missing tsinelas that could never be found. It may be a small, less valued item but the point is no personal item of a guest should be missing when you stay in a hotel room. The hotel is good, i commend their staff for all their efforts, but better keep your items inside your luggage before getting your room cleaned or whenever you walk out of your...
Read moreA disappointing experience the rooms are reasonable but the staff and service is racist and disgraceful. Um a platinum memeber and wasn't recognised and locals would get assistance from staff while I was racially vilified and ignored.
Service isn't as good as a 2 star hotel!
Rooms have a comfortable bed , a very uncomfortable hard chair and horrible cheap slippers that are useless and made very light and flimsy. Bathrooms are very small and water pressure is reasonable.
Wifi drops out regularly and the TV has a poor selection of English speaking channels.
Breakfast is horrible and poor quality and again in racially unacceptable behaviour I was led to a dirty table, when I.refised I was led to another dirty table, even though there was at least 20 unused set clean tables available.
The breakfast food is cold and horrible and again when I asked.for eggs at the egg station, locals were all served before me.
It took me.nerlyn20.mins to get fried eggs when I was the 1st person standing there. Then the staff member.c9oked 1 egg let it sit until it was almost cold.bwforw serving me another! Such bad service.
The only restaurant I've been to in.the world where they don't have any apple, orange, pineapple or any juice fir customers. When I asked did they have juice.the staff member.just walked away and ignored me.
DISGRACEFUL!
At check out, I apprpached the lazy supervisor, standing doing absolutely nothing, she pointed me to wait in line with staff serving others. The lady supervisor obviously was either racist or she thought she was above serving Accor Platinum members! I've never been treated so badly at any of many hotels I've stayed in throughout the Philippines,.or.inany country.
Service at Ibis Styles Araneta City I would rate about 1 out of 100!!!! It's disgraceful.
Prices fluctuate through ridiculously high prices. At the 50 to 65AUD per night it's ok if you can ignore the horrendous service. At higher prices theres far better hotels.
Staff at reception and the restaurant and supervisors are some.of the worst in.the world and I stay in hotels over 300 nights oer year
Serious problems with service Herr and service doesn't deserve...
