Plana's Pantry — Restaurant in Quezon City

The hype was real. Plana’s pantry was definitely a hidden gem.

I have been looking forward to reviewing this restaurant due to me hearing about it being recommended by many sources and boy, it did not dissapoint.

I was waiting for my friends to arrive and got a cup of coffee to start. The coffee was completely ordinary and isn’t noteworthy. Its just there.

My friends then arrived and we ordered our food. Of course, I went for the bestseller Hickory Ribs platter.

The thing is so damn good! For only ₱350, the portions were very generous! The sauce is bursting with flavor the texture is melts in your mouth. The rice was also herby which compliments the powerful flavor of the ribs. Definitely recommended!

Meanwhile, my friend got the sausage. I never tasted it myself, but my friend enjoyed it so much that he ordered another platter of the same order! He consumed 2 entire plates of it.

To complete this review, my other friend ordered a slice of their cake and the infamous avocado ice cream. The cake was pretty standard, nothing crazy, but it was good value. The Avocado ice cream was magnificent, the strong flavor and the nutty texture really compliments well. Another thing that is noteworthy.

After having a pleasant evening, we all decided to call it a night and swore to bring our own families here one day. We all agreed to revisit. Nothing beats great food with great company. Its definitely one of the things...

This cafe is right next to one of my favorite groceries, HiTop, so sometimes we will have a meal here besides our after shopping for groceries.

It used to be called something else a couple years ago but now it's called Planas Pantry. But the soft countryside motif is the same and the food is just as good!

I ordered a chicken steak with gravy. The gravy looked thin but turned out to be very tasty. Served with a bountiful mound of herbed rice and corn. It is a big dish. Ate all of the chicken but very little of the rice. All yummy.

They have pastries and very interesting ice cream but I don't do sugar so I can't tell you anything about them but you can check out my pics of their menu to learn more.

Menu has lots of good offerings including pasta and sandwiches. A great cafe for lunch or merienda.

Plana's Pantry is blink and you'll miss it restaurant in the area. It is not too big but also not too small. They can hold small gatherings to large parties as big as 100. The interior is filled with feel good posts that adds to your appetite.

If you are into baby back ribs or sisig, you should try this restaurant. The meat of their back ribs is tender, juicy, and flavorful. It can almost match the back ribs of other famous baby back ribs restaurants. Plus, the sauce that they use seemed to be a special in-house recipe so it really matches the soft beef. Meanwhile, their sisig is at par with sisig houses in the Metro but what I really liked is their laing which is at the helm of enough spicyness and saltiness.

Definitely a craving you will be asking for more...
