I enjoyed every experience in LIT Manila.
The original bar -at first you’d think “what’s inside that place” and find out it’s a little chill bar with great music, seating for small groups and has dimmed lights.
Always a pleasure to sit by the bar where you see the variety of drinks they offer.
Not for somebody who has bad eyesight though, take out that flashlight from your phone if you want to see the menu without straining your eyes.
The extension bar -is pretty like a gallery.
It’s well lit and has a projector that shows short chill videos. It also has a great ambience for catch-ups and for groups of of 7 people and above.
If you’re lucky enough to book the two long tables (indoors) in advance, it’s like you got the whole place for yourself.
Food -tuna sashimi so far is the only one that caught my attention. The rest are not so bad, but not special.
Price range -not cheap, expect a range of P200 for a glass of draft beer. And something 300++for food.
A cocktail unique to their bar is around 400-500 each. Ask them if they have it for the day.
So consider adding a little more to your budget if you want to explore different stuff.
Drinks -expect a lot of Japanese alcohol and amazing draft beer.
I personally love drinking Kirin draft in their bar. It’s weird, because you can buy it anywhere but the experience is really special when it’s at LIT.
Staff -awesome! Attentive and friendly.
Booking in advance -pretty easy, just don’t give up after several rings.
Pet friendly -YESSSSSS
Wished some of the food in the menu improved, but overall it’s a great place.
Will be back, and looking...
Read moreLIT Manila is an oasis of genuine drinking refinery in Bonifacio Global City. Solid location, great ambiance with wood paneled bar, painted mural and retractable wall and outdoor seating. But the real star is the whiskey (they specialize in Japanese and secondly Scotch but have a huge variety) and the cocktail menu — even the non-whiskey drinkers will be delighted by the Southeast-Asian-inflected drinks with clever juice, syrup, and garnishments that are delightfully uncommon. They also have barrel-aged cocktails as well, just ask!
Ruel (pardon the spelling) treated my family and I excellently and was a great conversationalist too. He made us a TSM, Summer in Hokkaido and an off-menu signature drink featuring Nikka Single Malt, grapefruit juice, Cointreau, an Absinthe wash, finished by flaming with grapefruit oil.
Overall, delightful, and well-priced! They also have curated whiskey flights, and thoughtful portioning if you want to try a certain/specific whiskey.
We didn’t get any food but they have a list of small plates and also can get proper plates (steak frites, etc.) from nearby Mamou until 9pm or a bit later.
LIT is worth a visit if you like Whiskey, especially Japanese, but also fine...
Read moreOne of my Go-To Drinking place in BGC and I could say, Manila. A good vibe, similar to what experienced before in Japan from its Japanese owner. Good and Variety of Whiskey labels, many are rare and special. You can choose to have an alternative cocktails or a good Gin here. The Bartender is well trained, knowledgeable and no force for you to empty the glass and spend more, with its polite and friendly Filipino balanced with leaving you to enjoy yourself. Not bad for a snack, food and dessert. There is a vinyl on the DJ table for some nights, and they play...
