Abe Restaurant in Serendra was a delightful exploration of Filipino cuisine, showcasing a diverse array of flavors and culinary traditions.
The restaurant's cozy yet elegant atmosphere provided the perfect backdrop for our dining experience, with attentive staff ensuring that we felt welcome and well taken care of throughout our visit.
We indulged in a variety of dishes that highlighted the rich tapestry of Filipino flavors. The standout dishes included the Bamboo Rice, a fragrant and hearty accompaniment to our meal, and the Knockout Knuckles, a succulent and flavorful dish that left us craving for more. The Fried Catfish was another highlight, perfectly crispy on the outside yet tender and flaky on the inside, while the Bulalo warmed our hearts and souls with its comforting broth and tender beef. The chicharones is also worth mentioning.
While our overall experience at Abe Restaurant was exceptional, there were a few minor flaws that prevented me from giving it a full five stars. The Bicol Express lacked the fiery kick that we were expecting, and the Chicken Supreme was slightly underwhelming compared to the other...

Weāve always looked forward to dining at Abe in BGC, and while the food is generally great, our recent visit had a small hiccup. The chef attempted to prepare the sauce or make a replacement, but it was overly salty and delayed, causing the soup to go cold. By the time it was reheated, we were already done eating.
To their credit, the staff was very apologetic, offered to cancel the dish from the bill (which we declined), and even offered to make it up on our next visit. That sincere service salvaged...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family and I are big fans of Filipino food, so Abe has always been one of our top choices, especially at this branch.
The food was still delicious as always, but unfortunately, we were disappointed by the service again. There was a noticeable discrimination in how foreigners are treated compared to locals. When locals ask for their leftovers to be packed, the staff carefully packs their food in plastic containers and placed them in the restaurant's official paper bags. However, whenever we ask - perhaps assuming we were Chinese, we're not sure - they put our food in plastic bags and handed it over in a brown grocery paper bag and a white plastic bag.
Since this experience always happen during our visit , we won't be coming back to this branch. This experience left us feeling uncomfortable...
