Nono's — Restaurant in Taguig

Food is good. I highly recommend the salmon on top of the red rice and the truffle pasta! Even the squash soup is good!

Price is average for this types of restaurant.

Location and ambience of the restaurant is great! Located in uptown mall bgc, lots of parking. And restaurant is modern and bright and clean.

Service (This will be quite long) - 2 stars only. Please note that it was not a busy time when we dined here. It was around 3pm, and there were just 4 or 5 other groups dining when we arrived, and still lots of available seats in and out of the restaurant.

We ordered pizza together with other foods when we visited this restaurant. For some reason the pizza was not served on time and was delayed until we finished all of our other foods. We followed up twice and no one from those 2 servers came back and tried giving us an update regarding the pizza. Until after more or less an hour we already finished our foods but the pizza is still not served. So we decided to just cancel it out and ask for the bill. We ask the server to cancel out the pizza and give us the bill, but she came back to us and asked id we can just take home the pizza since it was already done. We, were confused because magically pizza is done however no one updated us earlier. We asked the server that we cannot take it out anymore and will just cancel it out. She went back to the kitchen to discuss with manager i guess. Server went back to our table and advised us that they will just give out the pizza for free and apologized for the mishap. We insisted that they do not need to do that, and we are just willing to pay for what we ate. Manager Win, went to our table and talked to us regarding the mishap. We advised that what needs to be done for their team moving forward is for them to be actively advising diners for food updates if there are any delays. We followed up twice and no one tried talking to us until we finished our food. Win is very professional and apologetic. And we understand, we were not trying to be a "Karen" customer and we just wanted for them to be better in serving customers. Win even offered to make it all free, but we insisted to pay for what we ate and not take the free pizza anymore. But win is really persistent, in the end we just agreed to take home the pizza for free plus he also gave us a free cake (but please note we did not ask for the free pizza and cake).

Before posting this review, I tried checking other reviews and I can see most of the lower stars reviews are regarding the serving time of there food is too much. So i think this is something that they really need to improve on, and i hope they will in the future.

Nice location with lots of seating. The food was nothing special or mind blowing. Most food tasted ok. Dishes we're aesthetically appealing

Food Ordered: chicken and waffles: I didn't taste it but was told it tasted good by someone I n our group.

pesto chicken pasta: the pesto was nothing spectacular and a little bland. The penne was cooked great.

grilled cheese: multiple mini grilled cheese on baguette slices. Looks like a small portion but was filling. The dip was missing flavour.

kids Mac and cheese: 5/5 great Mac and cheese.

kids spaghetti with butter and Parmesan cheese: 1/5 unfortunately it tasted like spaghetti with oil. It was definitely not butter and it was Parmesan from a container like Kraft. It wasn't fresh Parmesan. It defiantly didn't have butter or enough salt for flavouring.

Kids meal came with juice but it didn't really taste like anything.

The service was a bit slow and didn't go the extra step in checking if our food was good or refilling our water even with empty tables. We had to wave down a waiter to order and for the check. Tip was automatically included which unfortunately was not deserving for the lack of service we received.

The menu was big but many items were marked not available as well as other items not marked were also unavailable.

We visited their Uptown Mall branch for lunch and the waitstaff greeted us outside while browsing their menu to see if anything sparked our interest. I always read and hear people recommend this place but I was hesitant to try as it could just be overhyped. Now after looking at several places in the mall to dine in we decided to go here, the bright yet calming light from their place was inviting enough. It’s situated near the water fountain so it’s a good spot specially during Uptown’s water fountain show. We commend the waitstaff for being friendly/upbeat but not too much to the point it would come off as insincere. Shrimp El Diablo is good, just the right kick of spice (you can request for the spice level to be adjusted). Oriental Shrimp Salad is good too, nice balance between crispness of the Shrimps and the soft greens. Although I must say the Pork Belly Balsamic Adobo wasn’t to our liking or should I say it wasn’t what I imagined it to be, I was thinking it would be more juicy with the right amount of pork skin layer and fat that just melts and that dark sticky sauce like braised pork but maybe this is their own take on Adobo.
