Ogetsu Hime — Restaurant in Taguig

We dined at Ugetsu Hime SM Aura on September 26, 2025 around 6 PM. At first we were hesitant because the place did not feel inviting but the acting manager Arland convinced us to give it a try.

To our shock, when we were almost done with the olives from the buffet we discovered worms in the bowl. We immediately reported it to the staff and Arland apologized and said we would not be charged. We told him clearly that the bill was never the issue because we came prepared to pay. The real concern was the serious hygiene problem.

Only after this incident did we check Google reviews and saw that many other customers had already complained about cockroaches and sanitation issues. We told Arland and he said he would raise it with the manager.

A few days later we spoke with Laarni the manager who promised to escalate it. But after that there was no follow up. When we tried to call the branch their number was inactive. Eventually we got a call from Archie the admin staff whose handling was even worse. She was dismissive not fully aware of the situation and even told us "It is normal in restaurants even normal restaurants have these."

This was shocking insensitive and completely unprofessional. She promised to send an email contact but we never received anything.

So now we ask Ugetsu Hime SM Aura what action will you take about this serious hygiene issue and the way your staff handled it?

Not worth the price. Not coming back. Bad Service.

Went here earlier this month. Food was 50-50 some were really good and tasted well while some was just alright. Consistency of the style of cooking of the food was also consistent depending on how much you order and the time, towards the closing time the food i ordered an hour before was not the same as it came out on the last order.

Service was really terrible as well - we had waited for a long time (20-30 minutes) before a single order came out to the point we had to "Ration" our food because of how slow the orders came. I remember ordering a tenderloin and rib eye where the order paper was taken only for someone to come out and inform us the tenderloin wasnt available only the ribeye, so we settled for it. Untill we did our 3rd order paper and untill closing the rib-eye never came, we had to follow up also on our other orders but not all of them arrived. Waiter came out towards the end to inform us it was not coming due to the grill being closed already-had to explain we ordered this 1 hour ago until the current manager came out and offered the kitchen (of course nahiya nalang ako kasi kami nalang last na nandon). Person also seemed annoyed, not sure if it was towards us or towards his staff. Either way, i dont plan to come back. service and waiting time for the food was really long. Do note we had to follow-up on our previous orders consistently and even then not all of them arrived (a waiter even had to confirm if we were sure and yes we were sure of the amount and what orders we were still waiting on but not all of...

Lying to Customers is what keeps them alive since they do not want their customers to eat.

Ogetsu Hime's Unlimited Dish at SM Aura at P1288 per person is a Rip Off. All their staffs were trained to lie to the customers regarding the availability of the dishes. It was 6pm on Nov 25, 2023 Sat when we entered the restaurant, we asked the waitress / receptionist if the Tenderloin dish and all the other dishes on their Unlimited menu card are available. The waitress said yes, everything's available. The question I asked is because a previous reviewer said that there are many dishes that were not available even though it's a Unlimited Dish promo. As soon as we sat down, we ordered, among others, Tenderloin on Teppan, Grilled Salmon Head, Uni Tempura etc. The portions were all very small. The Uni Tempura was out of stock. When we will re order the Grilled Salmon Head the 2nd time, the waitress said they ran out of Grilled Salmon Head and it was just 6:30pm. When we will re order the Tenderloin Teppan the 2nd time, they also said they ran out of stock and all they can give is the Rib eye instead. Later, a couple sat down beside our table. They ordered Uni Tempura from the same waitress who told us it's out of stock. 10 minutes later, they got the Uni Tempura.

Ogetsu Hime staffs are trained to lie with a straight face.

How can Ogetsu Hime say that this is an Unlimited Dish promo at P1288 per person, when you cannot order the same Dish the 2nd time? Please tell me? ...
