Samgyuniku Uptown Mall Branch — Restaurant in Taguig

Epic Fail Dinner yesterday Samgyuniku BGC (Taguig, Philippines) in Uptown Mall Branch! I am so disappointed with the dining experience and service. 1. Upon arrival there is no reception to assist. 2. When arrive at our table it is still dirty and not sanitized and the food is already prepared but we don't know if it's new or from previous guests 😆 3. No tissues and condiments on the table. 4. In the buffet section there is no appetizing food and the area is dirty + the food doesn't have any label for those guests who have allergies it is so hard for them to choose. 5. The guys who are assisting are not welcoming, and don't know how to talk and smile at the guests. 6. The staff doesn't have guest focus and is not attentive to what the guests need. 7. We found a lot of cockroaches 🪳 in my back and side of the table. When I asked one of the staff if it's normal to have cockroaches in the restaurant she answered yes it is normal with a wide smile 😱 8. Everything we need for samgyup is not available in the buffet section so we need to order everything we want such as lettuce and kimchi which causes delay and loss of appetite. 9. The gas stove they are using is not safe because they are not attentive when the fire is blowing 🤦🏻‍♀️ you need to ask them literally to change the inner area as there is no water and it is now filled with oil that causes the flame to blow. 10. The unlimited steak that they are offering that we ordered never came in our table and no staff informed us or update us if it is available or not they just simply ignore us. 11. I raised this concern to their FB social media but there was no reply and only saw zone meaning they don't care about the complaint and feedback! We just had to take a moment to share about the incredible dining experience we had at Samgyuniku (Uptown branch)]! I am not really a huge fan of Korean cuisine, especially samgyupsal, but when I’ve tried this restaurant, I started enjoying Korean food seriously! Lol

From the second we walked in, the staff at Samgyuniku (uptown branch) greeted us with such warmth and enthusiasm. Seriously, their passion for providing top-notch service was off the charts! They guided us through the menu, patiently explaining each dish and giving us awesome suggestions to level up us dining experience.

That Vibes! The atmosphere is so inviting and lively, giving you that authentic Korean dining feel. The mix of modern and cozy interior design, with those traditional Korean touches, made the place even more charming. Plus, they've got the tables spaced out perfectly, so you can have private chats with your crew while enjoying your meal.

Now, the real star of the show—the food! I've gotta say, the samgyupsal experience blew my mind. The ingredients were so fresh and top-notch, and the attention to detail in every dish was out of this world. They've got an amazing selection of meat cuts, and those banchan (side dishes) were to die for! The grilling? Perfectly executed, resulting in the most tender and flavorful samgyupsal bites you can imagine. The kitchen staff clearly knows their stuff!

Last but not least, I've gotta give a shoutout to the bang-for-your-buck factor. The quality of the food and the overall experience totally exceeded our expectations (for just P549 lol), making it a no-brainer for casual hangouts or special occasions. You'll definitely get more than your money's worth!

My recent Sunday night visit to Samgyuniku's Uptown BGC branch for their ₱699 promo was quite disappointing. For a BGC establishment at that price point, the overall experience felt lacking.

One major issue was the outdated menu. The menu displayed outside didn't reflect what was actually available. Many banchan (side dishes) we requested were unavailable, and we were informed we were looking at an old menu. Even after requesting an updated one, a significant number of items, including braised tofu and anchovies, were still unavailable. It was also frustrating that we weren't told that certain side dishes like egg rolls and sweet potatoes were "upon request" – we only found out by asking.

The food quality also left much to be desired. The soup was served lukewarm, not hot. While I did enjoy the peanut, sweet potato, and the plain thick-cut pork and beef, the "beef-pork-chicken" promo we availed didn't even have chicken available. At that point, a discounted price would have been appropriate given the missing protein option.

Furthermore, the cleanliness and ambiance of the place were poor. The buffet area was not well-maintained; spills weren't promptly cleaned, and the floor was noticeably oily. The entire restaurant was unpleasantly foggy due to smoke. The overall atmosphere didn't align with what one would expect from a BGC establishment.

Given these issues, I'm hesitant to recommend this branch. They really need to address their menu accuracy, food availability, and cleanliness standards to match the expectations for their location and price point. Visit at...
