Straight Up Rooftop Bar at Seda BGC — Restaurant in Taguig

Straight Up Bar is SEDA BGC hotel's signature rooftop restaurant offering panoramic views of the city.

Booking is highly advised especially if you're planning to dine during weekends. Their email and messenger channels are non-existent, so it's best to contact them through a call.

To be honest, we went here for the view, not for the food. The ambiance is nice and all but nothing special. I'm actually expecting a more serene vibe, i.e., cool breeze, scented candles, and relaxing music, but nada. The view of the city at night is definitely a pleasing sight to behold, so there's that.

As for the food, we ordered Argentinian Beef Tenderloin (₱1,300), Baked New Zealand Mussels (₱550), Quatro Formaggi pizza (₱430), Strawberry Cheesecake (₱ 550), and a shot of Limoncello liqueur (₱ 250). Overall, the food is great. I had savory and delightful experience with our entrees and I can't get enough of the pizza. It is expensive for its taste though, especially the cheesecake.

Overall, I highly recommend you include Straight Up Bar in your metro bucket list for the experience but personally, I will probably not...

No frills rooftop bar that has amazing views of BGC (probably the most accessible if you are planning to snap some skyline pics of BGC).

Went here on two occassions and even on a friday night, they surprisingly had tables available. The outdoor area does fill up first before the indoor one but both areas have amazing views to offer. A perfect sight to marvel at while you sip your favorite drink and munch on some food.

We had the seafood platter a melon smoothie and gin tonic. Took a while for the food and drinks to get to our table but they do have that gorgeous view to distract you. The seafood platter was more than enough for 2 and tasted pretty good. Especially the fish!

We enjoyed our time at Straight Up Seda BGC. Best time to go here would be late afternoon to get the best tables. Also dont even bother calling for reservation. Outdoor tables are first come first serve and calling the number listed on their website was a pain (didnt really get any answer during the multiple times I called). I'd like to personally commend our host for the private function room, Paolo. He is always so courteous and he takes good care of our menu, requests and needs whenever we dine in. The menu and the drinks are also fairly priced with the serving that's generous enough for 2-3 pax for every serving. Majority of the cuisines are local but cooked well. There needs to be a lot of improvement on the private room especially in terms of the ventilation and ACU but thanks to Paolo he definitely makes sure we still have a splendid dinner and makes sure we have everything that we need. I would rate the place a strong 7 but the accomodation and the hospitality that Paolo shows to us in the 3x we have been in the private room area makes the experience a total 10! Not only is Paolo very hospitable, he also empowers his team and manages them well so that all team members extend wonderful accommodations to us. He's very good as a host and a manager as well. We'll continue the patronage and use of their services thanks to the good experience we have with them....
