I would like to take this time and great opportune to convey our dining experience with Watami last Aug. 13, 2023 around 5:30 PM. I am specifying the Venice Grand Canal branch. We love venturing and experience dining in different restaurants as we also love to share our experiences to our love ones and friends. What we had at Watami was nothing but disappointment. One thing that we would like to highlight whenever we dine is the value for money; we do not mind slashing our cards and shedding our cash as much as we get what we paid for, something Watami failed to deliver. I am a fan of the Bistro Group especially Italliani’s so I am little bit expecting the same delivery of service and quality. To describe our failed experience, we ordered fatty salmon nigiri, salmon aburi, pork cutlet curry, a platter of gyoza and the highlight of this review: a plate of what could have been a karaage. We could not understand what went wrong but 1) delivery time took too much waiting even though there are only 3 tables are occupied, including ours. 2) employees are short in attending to our needs, as they are busy dealing with their phones 3) the sheer failure to adhere on what they advertise with their menu. We ordered karaage and we are welcomed with a bed of fries with about 5 to 6 slivers of chicken. We ordered Karaage - we did not order Large FRIES!. Craving pa naman to for couple of weeks already and we are every much looking forward. Other food items also falls short, gyoza sizes are small, and curry falls on the bland side. To be fair, the sushi and aburi are okay.
If you can visit this branch for quality control, you will see why and how we are so disappointed to be served with poor quantity of what we ordered.
Please attend to this branch if you value your clients. This experience will...
Read moreI recently visited Watami and ordered the Ebi Dynamite Roll and Chicken Cutlet. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.
First, I was served a California Maki instead of the Ebi Dynamite Roll. I didn't eat it initially because I noticed it looked different, and I intended to ask for assistance. However, my hand accidentally touched some wasabi. Then, I was served a Pork Cutlet instead of the Chicken Cutlet I had ordered. I noticed it was pork because I saw some fat on it. I politely asked the staff to correct the order. They got it from my table but returned the same dish, still claiming it was chicken. I had to reiterate my request for the Chicken Cutlet.
The food was just okay. Upon receiving the bill, I checked to see if I was charged correctly and discovered I was billed for both the Ebi Dynamite Roll and the California Maki. The entire experience felt as if I was being tested. Despite this, I managed to smile and thank the staff without making a fuss about the incorrect orders and charges.
When I left, there were two people at the entrance but didn't say anything - like a thank you and such, which felt like the least they could do. This was my first time trying Watami, and it was a...
