I visited this ramen place. Their signature broth is made from chicken pieces. But also you can definitely taste the miso blend, which isn’t bad at all. I tried the ā€œrich broth,ā€ which was thicker, but I found it lacking in seasoning. There was pepper on the table, but the small grinders barely worked. Also, the soup was quite cold for my taste—it should be hot enough to cool down gradually as you eat. My partner tried the black pepper combination, and to my surprise, it was exactly what the classic version needed—it really elevated the flavor. I’d love a variation with pepper, but I think they use chili oil, which my palate can't handle. Maybe something like garlic could enhance the classic bowl without overwhelming the flavor. We also tried the gyoza, but nothing special—they were like the store-bought kind you cook at home. What I appreciated most—despite arriving late and in the middle of the rain—was the lovely service. It’s a small space, so you hear all the sounds of the shop, but the decoration is charming and cozy. They also have a good variety of drinks and some starters. Additionally, they offered us some sprouted beans, which were tastier than the gyoza.

For me, Tori King is a great reunion or get together restaurant. Not only is the resto layout friendly to groups of people who want to talk to each other, but the food is great for a typical Friday night out and you don’t want to go to a bar or club. In terms of food, all the side dishes are not bad and taste great with the awesome condiments found on your table. They have good choices of condiments. My parents tried the gyoza and pork something (I forgot the name) and they liked it. I tried the ramen and it was also good. Normally I don’t eat so much chicken, but it was good that instead of giving it full to my dog, we shared it hehe My minus one star goes to the fact that the menu is pretty limited. Not much selection for super healthy food. So you better read the menu and make sure your doctor doesn’t scold you. And even though there are unique choices like the green tea cola. Which I found out has a lot of glucose. Not something healthy for somebody who has glucose issues. But their service is great and we are keen to visit again in the near future šŸ™ŒšŸ»

We visited the restaurant during the soft opening and I have to say that it met and exceeded all expectations. To order, you have to fill up a slip of paper with your name, choice of appetizer, choice of broth, softness or hardness of the noodles, and toppings. I chose the Black Spicy Tori King Ramen (with Sichuan black peppercorns which were more flavorful than spicy) while my wife chose the Original Tori King Ramen. Yummy! The ramen broth was rich, tasty and sticky, while the ramen noodles were silky smooth. Be selective with your toppings because the base order comes with a full chicken leg and thigh, so it is already quite heavy. I forgot to mention that there’s free, eat all you can hard boiled eggs. Adding more gets you seaweed, chasu and flavored egg. All in all I’d rate this equal to if not better than the other foreign ramen brands.

Since it's pandemic, it's a plus for me if the restaurant will offer delivery for its specialty. I've been meaning to try Ramen Keisuke when it opened in BGC, Taguig, last February. My husband and I tried it last month.

What we liked: The service and branding. Nothing beats great service and branding. From ordering, to providing instruction on how to prepare, and delivery. My petpeeve really is having to book delivery though I understand that some were undermanned. It's forgivable in these trying times šŸ™‚

The chicken, or tori! WOW! The tori itself was cooked perfectly. It was tender and the meat was savory šŸ™‚

The noodles were firm 😁 The chilli that came with the red tori was šŸ‘Œ

What didn't work for us: For its price, we wished there were more toppings.

The broth was too rich for us. It was delicious, like creamy. We ended up adding a few amount of boiling hot water.

If you're into ramen with rich broth, then this one is for you. If you're to ask me if I'll order again, maybe. But just...
