This place is a gem! Had high hopes after reading reviews, but expectations were exceeded. After years of traveling the world eating pizza (and other things), I finally found my favorite pizza place. We arrived early and there were no guests there. I was a bit skeptical and thought that this is not popular. After 20 minutes the place was full and people were waiting for tables! The pizza: We ordered two different ones. My better half took the Carbonara, I the Guanciale. Wine was suggested by the owner and matched perfectly! It took about 17 minutes until we got the food and before that we got a little teaser which was super good. The taste of the dough was fantastic. The bottom very thin and crispy. The topping on the one I ordered was a thousand flavors from salty to sweet, from deep to light, yes, everything your palate can desire. My wife's Carbonara pizza was cheesy, elegant in its flavors and really savory. We finished with dessert which was also delicious. The owner came and asked which pizza was the best... my wife said hers was the best, I said mine was the best :-D So both were top! The place is close to Istegade and the area is a bit .... but I think that makes it even better. Thank you for an experience of the rare MaMeMi! We'll be back!

I recently visited Pizza Mamemi in Copenhagen, and while it was a pleasant experience, there were a few areas that didn’t quite meet expectations. For one, the meat options were somewhat limited — mainly pork, with no other varieties to choose from, which felt a bit restrictive for those looking for more variety. Additionally, the tuna pizza I tried was unfortunately served quite cold, which was a bit disappointing. On the positive side, my Funghi pizza with egg was fantastic. The combination worked really well, and it was seasoned to perfection. The pizza itself was a Roman-style pizza, with a thinner crust than the traditional Neapolitan pizza, which was nice for a change. But I prefer a thick dough. Ambiente - nice Italian place to be. Italian is spoken under the service and cooks - so very authentic The service was polite and friendly, but overall, I wouldn’t rate this place as one of the top 23 pizzerias in Europe. I’ve had better pizzas elsewhere, so while Pizza Mamemi is a solid choice for a casual meal, it didn’t quite live up to the hype.

This is a review for delivery. Absolutely awful pizza. No idea how this place has good reviews but it's seriously bad, and incredibly overpriced. We ordered two pizzas, the first was with buffalo mozzarella, toasted almonds and anchovies. I saw no almonds or anchovies on this pizza, only a handful of black olives and three basil leaves. Yes, 3 basil leaves for entire pie...very generous obviously. It's like they dumped a can of tomato sauce on some soggy bread, added a few olives, a few pieces of cheese and shipped it off The second was with spicy salami, peppers and ricotta cheese. Whatever cheese was on it was NOT real ricotta, it was a cold, oozing mess. Both pizzas arrived cold. Not even warm, but cold. And it was obvious they had been sitting around for awhile because they were incredibly soggy. Some of the saddest pizza I've ever seen, shocked that they could even send out pizza that looks so pathetic. If you appreciate good food, avoid at all costs.

Recently voted 23rd best pizzeria in Europe by the Italian authorities, I already had high expectations before my visit at MaMeMi. The restaurant had a modern yet cosy interior, and I pretty much only heard Italian conversations when coming in (another sign that the standard is pretty high). The pizzas MaMeMi offers are far from traditional, with toppings containing cacio e pepe, carbonara, or apple and balsamic vinegar. I went for the latter, as you rarely find fruit served on pizzas by Italians (did someone say pizza Hawaii?). The combination of guanciale with the sweetness of the apple and the mild acidity of the vinegar was exquisite! The caramelized onions and provola cheese were fantastic too, just like the crunchy and light Roman-type crust. As if this weren't enough, MaMeMi is also known as a wine bar. For each pizza, the waiter suggests a particular wine that complements the taste, in my case a Nebbiolo. Delicious!

One of the best pizza places in Copenhagen. I'm Italian and while this is not the traditional Neapolitan style pizza, its quality can't be questioned. The pizza is Roman style pizza, i.e. thinner and crispier than the traditional one. Prices are reasonable considering the average of Italian traditional restaurants in Copenhagen. Toppings are abundant and of great quality, including traditional Roman ingredients like guanciale or spianata romana salami. They get full five stars from me, although I wish they had a couple more "red pizzas" on the menu (I personally always like to taste a good margherita before trying the signature ones). I'd like it if there were a couple of less sophisticated ones. The atmosphere is nice, but tables are very close to each other and it can get loud/warm at peak times. All their pizzas can be made gluten free and they have both vegetarian and vegan options.

Wow, wow, wow. We were looking for pizza in Copenhagen, and this did NOT disappoint. The location is quaint and special— sit outside if the weather allows! We received exceptional service from the whole staff, but particularly Lara who brought us several wines to try as we chose a bottle. Loved the one we ended up with! The antipasto for 2 was to die for!!!! I didn’t think I liked fennel, but the combination of it with burrata and lemon was truly *chef’s kiss*. The pizza was also phenomenal. Yum. My husband is telling me it’s in his lifetime top 5 (and we love pizza). We initially giggled at the 23rd best pizza in Europe ranking but now take it very seriously. WOW. Seriously. Don’t miss this wonderful spot! We’ll be dreaming of the food and ambiance well into our return home. Muchisimas gracias y bendiciones (de Raleigh, NC), Lara 🩷
