As a Mexican the tacos were ok they were definitely NOT worth their price point, I also wouldn't say authentic but it's the closest thing. Honestly, the closest thing to authenticity were the tortillas de Maiz flour to make the tortillas, the Jaritos and Tequila and that is just because they were imported from Mexico but as far as the flavors, the atmosphere and possibly the owner (maybe the daughter, wife not sure what her relation was) nothing else wasn't (I asked). Danes have a lot of respect for different cultures as a matter they're curious not only that very considerate if you have allergies and are vegan. I imply this because as a Mexican if I decided to move there and open a restaurant I would bring traditions and share the flavors of my people so others can experience the joy and flavors used in our food with a little background history.

I couldn't just make over priced tacos with random seasoning and also make a "salsa", order imported Maiz slap a sticker on it and say it is Mexican. I gave it a 3 star because when ordering I felt their attitude flat and it seemed like they did not want to be there, I can't remember what I asked the Argentinian girl (I asked her nationality) in the back but it was regarding the food and she seemed a bit lost or confused to what I was asking (that told me enough).

Also the spice and the flavor were ok and the atmosphere was more meh. The price for 3 tacos and 1 drink almost set me back $30 usd (and i substitude 1 veggie for another meat) but my friend ended up paying close to $40 for 3 tacos, rice beans and an...

After being in Europe since August 21, I had a serious craving for Mexican food. When I landed in Copenhagen, I immediately sought a restaurant for my craving and came across Hija de Sanchez. Walking there from my hotel, I was met by a much smaller restaurant than I expected. If I had done more research other than looking at the food, I would have realized this is a mostly-take-out restaurant. Although there is some limited inside and outside seating(one table to seat ~4 inside, several small tables for 2 outside), it is not the sit-down restaurant I was expecting. But, considering it was nowhere near Mexico, it was quite good. I ordered the taco combo, along with a side of beans and rice.

As someone used to eating a LOT of Tex-Mex in the States, I noticed immediately that the tacos and side needed hot sauce. Although there was some spice, there wasn't enough to make it taste more authentic. Given, can I blame them for not having them spicier? No, but it would be nice if they had a hot sauce that I could add on- whether it be Cholula or just plain Tabasco. Besides the lack of spice, they were pretty good. All three were pretty flavorful (although not extremely). However, the tortillas were tasty using any standard.

BUT (and this is a big but), they are obscenely expensive. For my taco combo and side of rice + beans, I paid 175 kroner... AKA €23.5... Seriously? I'm sorry, but this was so expensive I don't think any part of the meal...

Great tacos, bad service - The flavor and ingredients are top notch (especially the consistency and taste of the taco itself), nothing to add there! Tried the trio (Beef, pork, cabbage) and went back for a few additional tacos (don’t see them as a meal but rather as a snack. Otherwise, it will get very pricey and both worth the money spent). Also tried the beans and rice as a side, which were fine but surely nothing to write home about. What really made me deduct some stars was the service, which was incredibly rude and not helpful at all. They almost seemed like we were disturbing them by coming there to eat, which was really disappointing. Super unfriendly and probably the worst experience I’ve had in Copenhagen (it also doesn’t go well with the easy street food vibe of the surrounding. This is a taco place, not a Michelin star restaurant). My deduction is therefore 1,5 stars for the bad service, half a star for the price - but if you’re cool with looking past these factors and want to have a tasty snack for in between exploring beautiful Copenhagen, enjoy...

What a fantastic little street food eatery in the Copenhagen Meat Packing district! The place specialises in home made soft tacos and serves these freshly made on site. I went last year spring and summer. I ventured out during winter but it looks like they maybe closed for the colder months. This would make sense and most of the seating is outside. There is almost always a queue for these delicious little tacos. They are perhaps a little on the expensive side, but oh so delicious. The owner is a chef who used to work at Noma and started this off first at Torvahallen as a true street food out of a van business. This is the evolution of that. Only 4 stars. Because for the number of people or would have been nice to have more seating or at least some high tables to gather round... And a little expensive.
