Neighbour's Kitchen breakfast and lunch — Restaurant in Gdansk

Pros: Very nice riverside location not far from the busiest streets. Slightly, still SLIGHTLY less expensive than most other restaurants in the area. I enjoyed the moment of being here. Chill music and hipster vibes - I can imagine this could be a great place expecially for youngish adults to come and have a bit dinner and few drinks before going to club or something.

Cons: I had checked the menu beforehand on their website and was looking forward to have a hummus for a start and salmon for a main course, with very reasonable price. Once I got there, I immediately noticed the current menu at the restaurant was totally different and also the prices were overall a bit more expensive. I still decided to stay and ordered just a goat cheese salad and a drink. I liked the details of the portion, and also the size was quite ok. But the base of the salad was just plain green salad leaves. Not bad, but a bit boring and does not keep hunger away. Anyway, you can't go wrong with the goat cheese. Maybe I should have had ordered something else so the restaurant can show their real potential... The menu was just quite short, in case you're not interested in pasta and burger stuff.

I see this place has a purpose to exist, but I feel I got a bit wrong impression based on the internet comments. I had been looking for Food and just Food, not chilly drinks and something...

TOURISTS BE CAREFUL! A day ago I gave a VERY bad review because the food was terrible and made me sick and they deleted it!! The just made two very suspiciously nice reviews right after!

** This is by far the worst breakfast I have ever had. Two canned sausages with half a sad tasteless tomato and a disgusting cottage pudding that game me stomach aches. 🤮The “fresh bread” was NOT fresh at all! They gave us two baskets of different breads and we could not eat none of the slices. The green detox juice wasn’t fresh at all and it had a suspicious thick foam on the top which was turning grey. 🤢The price was similar to a dinner at a good restaurant!

Lastly, the atmosphere was quite unpleasant since the location is not the best and we had a group of drunk people talking to us on the next table. **

We are visiting from Ireland and we went into this cafe this morning based on reviews and it was close to hotel Gdansk where we were staying. We went to sit at a table with a couch but it was reserved which is no problem so we sat at the only available table which was next to the couch one . we have a 5 year old autistic boy and he likes to sit in certain places so he was a little upset about this but he settled. We waited for 10 minutes without anyone coming to us but the reserved table personnel came into the cafe ,sat down and got attention straight away ??
