Swojski Smak — Restaurant in Gdansk

We visited this restaurant a total of four times on this trip, and it's our third time in Gdansk. Every time we come here, we are reminded of why we always choose this place.

Let me start with the food - it's simply heavenly. The flavors served here are a culinary experience you must try for yourself. The portions are generous and satisfying, and every bite is a delight to the taste buds. It's clear that the chefs here place great emphasis on quality and presentation.

The incredible staff is also worth mentioning. They go above and beyond to ensure you have a memorable experience. Their attention to detail and willingness to cater to guests' needs are remarkable.

As for the cocktails, we appreciate the recommendations. Sex on the Beach and Mango Mojito sound delicious! This restaurant clearly sets a high standard, even when it comes to beverages.

The prices here are also very reasonable, making this place even more attractive.

I have no doubt that we will continue to visit this fantastic place, and I would highly recommend it to anyone in Gdansk. It's undoubtedly one of the best restaurant experiences you can have, and we look forward to...

Such a great restaurant! We were staying close by and tried twice to get a late drink but each time it was closed. We were looking for somewhere to eat that offered local cuisine and decided to try Swojski Smak after reading the reviews. It is so deserving of each of the five stars! The menu is modern but has plenty of traditional Polish fare, no lazy burger or pizza offerings. We shared the salad with fruits which worked wonderfully together. My husband had the Polish in a nutshell main (amazing) and I had the vegetarian Bandit pancake (most interesting!). Brilliant initiative from the chefs, beautifully presented and delicious. I had a dark Polish beer with my meal and a cherry vodka to finish, both of which were recommended by our waitress and were exactly what I wanted! The prices are excellent for the value given. We called in here because it was opposite our hotel (Ibis Stare Miasto) and I'm so glad we did. The traditional food is delicious and the portions are enormous! Great atmosphere with just gentle background music. What made it really special was Paula our wonderful waitress. She welcomed us in and even though the restaurant was busy she made time to talk through the menu and explain the details of each dish, always with a smile. After the meal we asked her about the 150 vodkas they have on offer, and her vast knowledge soon became apparent. We chose a mixed board of 6 measures each - an excellent way to finish the night!

The following day the weather had turned and we didn't fancy getting soaked walking back from the city, so we booked in here again and had another really enjoyable evening of great food and more varieties of Polish vodka.
