The pierogi at Pierogarnia Gdańsk are absolutely the best I’ve ever tasted! Every bite is full of authentic flavor, and the variety is fantastic. I truly enjoyed every dish I tried.
The lines can get very long, but you don’t wait much at all. The staff always warn you that the food might take some time to prepare, but it’s surprisingly fast. On my visit, it was raining outside, and I noticed the staff offering umbrellas to customers—such a thoughtful touch! They are clearly very well trained and attentive.
During my visit, I wanted to sit at a free table because it had a charger nearby for my phone. I asked Mateusz if I could move there, and he said yes. However, before I started eating, I realized I didn’t feel comfortable at that table because it was right next to the toilet and separated by a wooden panel, which made the spot feel too isolated and I couldn’t see much of the restaurant. So, I went back to my original seat.
After a few minutes, Mateusz—although very busy—came over and, even though I hadn’t mentioned anything, kindly offered to let me leave my phone at the bar to charge it. I was really impressed; he made me feel like a special guest. He was very attentive and caring.
When I asked for his recommendation, he suggested the best dish—the number 7—which I loved after telling him my tastes. He also suggested a salad and a dessert, showing great attention to detail and care for my experience.
Overall, the incredible food, efficient service, and genuinely caring staff, especially Mateusz, made my visit unforgettable. I highly recommend Pierogarnia Gdańsk!

Read moreI can begin by saying this place is absolutely exceptional. They have the best pierogis I have ever tasted. With just a short time in Gdansk, I went to this place 3 times just to test out their impressive menu. They have different types of pierogis: fried, yeast dough in furnace, boiled, sweet, etc.
Out of 5 pierogi dishes I tried, I highly recommend 2 from the “Dumpling of the Champions” list. The first one is Rak nieborak. The filling was filled all the way inside a thin layer of flour. The filling was creamy, the crawfish tasted great, and the radish sauce gave an interesting sourness. The second one was Tajskie Jadło. The mango sauce was just spectacular (sweet, sour, gingery), which was the star of the dish. The pierogis were just crunchy and delicious. The filling with tofu had the perfect consistency, coriander and chili were put in enough amount. The other 3 dishes were also great but the 2 dishes above can simply not be surpassed.
I tried 2 soups, creamy and tomato soup. The creamy soup had prominent flavor of coconut milk with an undertone of celery root. Smoked tofu on top gave a kick to this smooth soup. With the perfect natural sourness from good tomatoes with flavors of vegetables and herbs(celery roots, carrots, etc), the soup was scrumptious and the hand-mad egg pasta just made it even better.
I tested one set of white tea. There was strong flavors of flowers from jasmine and Pai Mu Tan. The fruit combinations in the tea gave the natural sweetness and sourness. Aromatic scent of jasmine was left in the aftertaste. Nothing is better than this...
Read moreFirst the trying Polish Dumplings so me and my Mum shared a couple of dishes.
We ordered the Potato, Tofu with White Onion Dumplings. These were nice, we weren't keen on the texture but we knew what to expect when we went in but wanted to experience it anyway while visiting Gdansk.
10 pieces which was great so we had 5 each which was a nice amount.
We also ordered the Chocolate Dumplings with Oreo inside and Sour Cream bowl in the middle. This was presented very nicely, this had 8 pieces so we had 4 each, these really filled us up. We weren't sure if people went in to get just one dish or if people had the savory and then sweet. I'm glad we tried them both, we both said we preferred the savory dish more than the dessert however I can see why people liked it.
We had a teapot of the Indian Chai tea, you get given a 5 minute timer with it so you can see when yo pour it which I thought was a really cool aspect.
All the staff we spoke to spoke really good English so that was great.
Toilets were clean, they had men and women's and there were 2 toilets in the women's which was handy.
The restaurant is set out really Beautifully and we were very comfortable.
We had to wait 25 minutes for both of the courses which was more than fine as the menu said that when they are busy it can take 45 minutes. They were very busy by the time we left so we feel very lucky to have ate there in the time we spent there.
On the way in you can see people making all the dumplings which was super cool!
You can order as takeaway as well and you can buy merchandise too!
