So let's start from that when I first visited the place a year ago I was pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere and the food. It was good. It was something I was looking for in Silesia. Typical breakfast brunch place with good coffee. It was well cooked and tasty. The first time we visited I ordered at the table and was supposed to pay at the end (normal). I had a hair on my plate that looked like a pubic hair. The manager was very apologetic and recognized it was the chef's beard hair on my plate and she didn't charge us for anything. I was very surprised and even though it was a mishap we came back again. So fast forward one year and I was back in Gliwice and was very happy to go back and visit ZOUZA bistro. A LOT has changed. You have to order at the counter (I knew something was up, you just don't do that in a good place) and then we waited for our food. The wait was long. I understand it was Sunday and it was busy but it was looong. When the food finally came it looked like a disaster, like a ghost of a former self. I got a french toast... It was sad and wet, sprinkled with some cheese... the bacon I ordered extra wasn't cooked and the whole thing was cold making it gross and not edible. Avocado was Soo freaking hard, like a rock! Again not edible! Trying to get someone's attention was very hard, girls at the bar were very busy chatting and laughing. After a while we were able to talk to the manager (it's a new manager...) Her response was that avocados at this time of the year are just hard... like what???? And she reluctantly asked what I'd like instead and I ordered something like eggs Benedict. It was an even bigger disaster. U can see in the picture... 2 pieces of burnt challah bread with some greens and a poached egg smothered with some kind of white liquid that didn't even stand next to hollandaise sauce... It resembled a watered down mayonnaise? It certainly tasted like one. The manager was rude about the experience and didn't offer a refund so I left hungry and just sad. It goes without saying I never went back and never will go back. It's a shame because ZOUZA from a year ago was a really nice place!
Response to the owner: yes. Events described in this comment happened in real life and they Happened at your bistro. U can see in the pictures that these are your creations and dishware so please don't be patronizing. I took great care in describing my experience and events. I am not the only one here complaining about hard avocados you serve or that your staff is standoffish. The manager last year had longer brown hair and the manager that spoke to me this year is a lady with a blonde pixie cut ( that's what she looked like 2 months...
Read moreAfter waiting HALF HOUR, we were told that the kitchen DID NOT EVEN START making our breakfast because the staff FORGOT! The restaurant was not busy at all! Even the table ordered after us already got food! And during this half hour, not a single staff checked what was going on. What they offered is just asking us to wait longer time. And the funny thing is when we said we don’t want to wait anymore, and want to just get the money back and leave, the staff said it is not his fault!!!! That’s really ridiculous to hear!! Does customer care about whose fault it is after waiting half hour then knowing their breakfast were not even started? We came here few times before, everything was fine, but today we finally witnessed this “good service”! Very interesting! And by the time we left, we still paid for drinks! NO REAL APOLOGY for wasting...
Read moreKawa dobra, obsługa sympatyczna i szybka. Pozycja Sandwich a'la Reuben to natomiast nieporozumienie.
