I have booked table for 9 people week prior to planned b-day celebration. Few times personnel have highlighted that service will be 10%, I definitely agreed as this is standers approach. When we came it turned out that there are only 2 waiters for the whole place so no chance to have dedicated person. When I’ve ordered traditional drink named kompot it turned out that they have only 1 liter of it and are not in position to prepare more as their personnel are busy with other tasks (packing something). I was extremely frustrated as for me it is easy - if person is booking a table for 9 people it means that they will order at least one glass of drink thus restaurant should have at least 2 liters of drink for them. Then there was a complete mess in ordering and serving the food - no differentiation between side dishes, main dishes etc. We have waited for 20-30 minutes to have bread we’ve ordered, they were constantly forgetting who ordered what etc. And still I was ready not to provide this feedback as FOOF WAS REALLY AMAZING! But then we asked for deserts and it turned put that they have only 3 pieces. For me this is behind understanding - to leave 3 pieces of cake while having reservation for birthday celebration for 9 people… I have no explanation for this. My summary will be the following - food here is really amazing while service is awful. If you plan to drink coffee and eat something tasty definitely go. But if you will have more than 3 people or you are planning to celebrate something do not expect attention, service and do not expect cakes. Personally I will not go there anymore...
Read moreOutstanding food and the presentation is immaculate. I had the Borsch with pork bones which was out of this world. The Sola (wrong spelling possibly but it's pork fat, pickles etc.) was nice and the menu was correct that it paired well with the borsch. The Napoleon cake though was exceptional, flaky and a light cherry flavour which really made the meal for me. The drinks were cold and refreshing, the pilsner had a weirdly pleasant fruity note to it which was a suprise.
Finally the service and atmosphere. It's a busy little spot with people popping in a few times throughout my 30-45 minute meal, and no doubt it's popular due to the food quality. The service was exceptional and the young man who served me was polite, informative and efficient. I wish I'd have found this earlier in my trip as it's just around the corner from my hotel. Highly Recommend.
Summary of Order: 1x Sola Starter 1x Borsch with Pork 1x Napoleon Cake 1x Pilsner 2x Cola Zero (glass bottles) Price: 121zl - converts to around about £25 (tipping is optional, and one I took due to the service...
Read moreWe came here with friends for a special pre-booked event (they can organise such). The food was really tasty. The owner of the restaurant said that they make everything fresh, totally for scratch for each order. And you can definitely feel it. It's a Ukrainian restaurant with traditional food but a more modern approach. The history of this place is also fascinating. It was created by Ukrainian refugees and a Polish citizen as a way to get some income to support refugee camp. Initial investment they received from the US citizens who wanted to help. Even though it was a charity project initially, they operate like a proper restaurant, so you would not notice any difference in the service. I plan to come back again for business lunches which they serve...
