To be honest, I was disappointed. I invited my friends to this restaurant due to its reviews. We came on Wednesday evening, the restaurant was almost empty, just a few tables occupied. Nevertheless it took more than half an hour to get the cold starters. I would expect those to be ready to serve. As soon as a waiter brought starters we realised that it had not enough bread for our company, so we asked to bring more. We waited for bread for an extra half an hour. Yes, it came freshly baked, but we have finished the starters by that time. The waiter could have warned us about the wait time. The hot dish that I ordered was not there yet, so I had to go to the bar and ask for it. Overall it took them 1,5 hours to bring it (!!!). As it was clear that the waiting time was too long my friends decided not to order anything hot at all. The meat I ordered was in a nice cherry sauce, but it was not tasty. For the price of 52 PLN I expected more. There were 2 chops from meat and one stick of bread. I hardly ate the first chop and left the second one on the plate. When the time was to pay a bill we were told that we can't pay one bill with multiple cards 🤯 It was clear that we are 5 people, not from one family, so we do need to pay separately. I informed that the waiter was supposed to tell us about it upfront. Her response was that we, customers, are supposed to ask upfront if we can pay with multiple cars. You can pay with multiple cards at any other restaurant, so it's not something to ask for. There was no apology for a huge delay with the food, no apology for not being able to accept our payments. The waiter was never next to our table, I had to go to her. And she didn't smile even once while we were in the restaurant. This is extremely bad service, definitely not the level of Georgian hospitality. Seems like they simply figured out that people like Georgian food, but forgot to bring the whole concept.
I don't plan to ever be back again. There are a few other Georgian restaurants in Kazimierz just a few...
Read moreOh dear, what has happened to this restaurant? It used be a special dining experience with exceptional food but things have gone down hill dramatically. The owners have taken to employing young waiting staff who seem to treat its patrons as a distraction from chatting among themselves and playing with their phones. The service is so haphazard that dishes are served in no particular order. The chinakali we were served this evening were tasteless, overloading on spice is no substitute for flavour. It is noted that management/owners do not respond to the growing number of negative reviews, which suggests that they too have little regard for their customers. We will continue to monitor reviews but meantime we will not be returning. There are much better options than this in the culinary wonderland...
Read moreOne of a few Georgian restaurants in Krakow. Location is not very central but not far from Wawel castle, you can reach it in 10-15 minutes by foot from there. Design is quite authentic and atmospheric. Regarding food I would say it depends. When it just opened, food was made by Georgians but not sure how it is now as in my opinion some dishes are not as good as before. Salmon was very dry so I do not recommend it. Abhazura was so tough and difficult to chew, I’m not sure how it is supposed to be but I didn’t like it. Chinkali had too much pepper. Chaczapuri was ok but not the best I ate. Service is ok. So generally speaking not the best Georgian restaurant in Krakow, you can find...
