Lesu Wine & Dine — Restaurant in Krakow

We visited on August 19th and found the restaurant quite empty, we were the only guests, which is perhaps understandable for a Monday. After ordering our aperitifs, the waiter returned about five minutes later to take our food order. Our starters arrived roughly 15 minutes after that. While this timing might be reasonable on a busy evening, with no other guests present, I would have expected the starters to be served promptly after our drinks.

The starters were tasty but lacked creativity. As can be said for the main dishes and desserts as well. None of them were executed quite as elegantly as what you would expect.

For our main courses, we each selected a side dish. Unfortunately, only one side was served—the gratin arrived, but the baby potatoes were forgotten. I didn’t feel comfortable speaking up at the time, so they went unaddressed.

At the end of the evening, we received the bill, which felt steep considering what we had ordered and actually received. The waiter strongly encouraged a generous tip, which left a sour impression. The bill was entirely in Polish, making it difficult to verify whether the missing side dish had been charged. I paid, including a tip (though not as high as suggested), and later realized that the forgotten side dish had indeed been billed.

While the food was decent, it didn’t match the quality expected at this price point. Given the oversight and the overall experience, we won’t be returning—even if the issues seem minor, they reflect a lack of attentiveness that’s hard...

Lesu Wine & Dine certainly lives up to its claim to be an expression of their passion for wine, good food and celebrating life. We had a marvelous time there while in Krakow. Our initial appetizer and wine extended into a lovely long evening of fresh food and interesting wine – a perfect atmosphere for having a great evening with friends. The wait staff was wonderful. In addition to a good selection of wines, I especially enjoyed the chopped sirloin beef, with its marinated mushrooms, pickled cucumber, capers, homemade mayonnaise; it’s a must if you like beef tartare. I’m also a fan of the delicious mushroom dish and nice charcuterie board. And – the crepe suzettes are yummy! We’ll definitely be there with friends...

We had absolutely amazing experience when dining at Lesu! Modern, yet very elegant design with moody atmosphere and great music in the historic setting one of the most beautiful cities in the world! Food was OUTSTANDING - perfect balans of flavors , textures and colors leaves you in the great mood to taste one of their delicious desserts. Everything is made from fresh, highest quality, hand picked ingredients. Lesu service is just simply excellent! This selection of wines from around the world is INCREDIBLE and I don’t think there will be anyone leaving this place without the feeling of having the best time ever!
