Loża — Restaurant in Krakow

We came here two nights as we enjoyed the food so much however we did have two very different experiences. First night we were served by a blonde woman who was very nice and honest! Only downside was the tables were very close together outside so was difficult to move around. We got a jug of cocktail for I believe 90/99pln which was good value. The duck breast was phenomenal well cooked and presented, my fiancé got the potato and bacon soup and the dumplings and enjoyed this - it came to just under 300pln. The following day we visited again a brunette was serving us - I asked about the cocktail jug and we were only given the option of a small cocktail or a large one. I had a small my fiancé had the same one but large. I had the same main but it wasn't anywhere near as nice somehow, my fiancé's meal was maybe 25pln more like than the previous night and we had the same dumplings. .. 367PLN it cost total!! Near enough £73!!! I didn't know how the server would react if we asked for the service charge to be removed...

This place really is the pits, or at least the management is. We visited this place when we first arrived a few days ago when it was a little quieter and just liked the chilled out vibe with a guy playing the guitar and a nice young female singer. Fabulous we thought, we could spend plenty of our time (and money) here... Think again... When busy you aren't allowed to sit under the parasols either in the day or during the evening unless you order food. Staff were very rude, a waitress came to me and asked if I was waiting for someone, and I explained she had gone to the bathroom and if I could order drinks. No you can't. OK fair enough I'll go spend my money 10 meters away at Redolfi, with attentive staff and good customer service. Probably won't make much difference to this business, but thought I'd share...

Rude staff. You can feel they serve you as if they were prisoners. Black haired waitress should be fired on a spot for ruining the business. She told me exactly what place I can take, while I wanted to sit else where. The other tables where I wanted to sit were not reserved. She was rude saying that. One of waiters (a slim man) wanted to fight with a guest. Bad atmosphere and the place itself out of others on main square was the worst. I regret I went there. Waiter didn't understand the word "toothpicks" and said they dont have such. Later on some other waiter said that they have toothpicks and will bring it to me. Never happened. I requested again, and again they forgot. Chaotic employees and not too friendly faces. Avoid this place. There are much better places...
